  1. My connection to Pandora also just stopped working correctly. I have an AVIC 8000 NEX running 1.11 (the latest). I did work, but now when I select Pandora from the head unit, I get a dialog box that just says Connecting... It stays that way until I touch the dialog box, the the HU says ready. Pandora will play, but the HU on screen controls are missing, and the volume controls on the HU don't work. I bought my HU used. Really glad I didn't pay full price. EDIT: Power cycling my phone solved the problem, and Pandora is working again. I suspect AVICSYNC might have had somethin
  2. I somewhat solved it. The AUX input does support video, and the input shows up on the AV input menu. I can use the steering wheel controls to scroll to the AUX input, and see my front camera. I never did get the second camera input working. If you do this, you need a 3.5 mm mini-jack to RCA adaptor. The minijack plugs into the head unit, next to the antenna input. Rather than pay $45 for the Pioneer minijack adaptor, I bought one for $5 on Amazon. Mini jacks are not all made to the same standard. I got unlucky, and it wasn't set up correctly, so I rewired it. The correct order f
  3. I have an 8000 NEX. I just installed 1.11 with seemingly no issues. I then installed a front camera on my truck. I have set the AV input to Camera, but the AV input does not show up on the source list, so I can't select it to use it. I know the camera is functioning, because I can select it in the Picture Adjustments menu, and I can see the image it is producing. I don't know if the problem was there with the old firmware. But youtube has a couple videos showing how to set it up that were made a year or so ago. And it worked then. I'm wondering if they broke or deleted the feature
  4. I had the exact same issue and the problem was the back up camera connector had pulled out of the back of the head unit as I was stuffing it back into the dash. Because you're getting the "objects may appear reversed" message, your HU definitely knows that you are in reverse. Most likely, that means the backup camera is getting power, because the circuit that tells the HU you are in reverse is the same one that powers the camera. Hope that helps.
  5. Just for the record, the software bypass works on an 8000 with 1.11 firmware. The spot on the screen to push is lower left corner, about 1/4" from each edge. 1/2" from each edge did not work for me. My parking brake wire is grounded.
