  1. Just wondering if all the Sirius module devices are the same to use for any radio head unit. I've been selling my stock radio head unit (from my 07 subaru sti) ever since i got the avic d3 with sirius. However, being that my subscription ended and hardly ever having to use it, i figure i can might as well get rid of it too from this offer. I have a buyer interested in buying my stock radio unit with the Sirius satellite module/antenna as the stock radio supports sat radio functionality. I mentioned to him that it does not come from the dealer with Sirius. But dose the module itself have to be
  2. i think it might have something to do with the wiring in the back which i'll have to get it checked out for
  3. i still have no picture/video even with the creative cables . it cant be the cables because i even tested them using a tv which work perfectly. I checked the wiring and everything is hooked up. afraid im missing something or perhaps went wrong in the connection of wires somewhere somehow
  4. yup, as posted before, it's already by-passed and again im not using the right cable...besides i dont think id be attemtping to play with wires and whatnot all while driving lol...bottom line = creative cables (hopefully being the only case)...
  5. haha got really excited and went out there to give it a try right away. well although it didnt work, it was almost like a teaser because it would seem like I would almost have it switching the around the cables in every possible combination through trial and error but still no clear display of the video that i was using as a test. it's definitely the cable itself though because i even tried testing it using a television (which go figure i should have just done so beforehand instead of unscrewing and screwing my dash). nonetheless, the creative cable is needed guys, or well at least i really ho
  6. which zen do you have? mine has no flap (zen vision: M). instead i have an adapter to plug in the bottom of the player with multi-ports (usb 2.0, dc in, and a/v out). so wait, i've been using the headphone jack when i was testing with the other cable i have. do you think maybe if i plug into the a/v out instead that it would make a difference??
  7. still nothing and i've tried so many combinations..even switching the settings of the player as well. going to order that creative cable then. But does anyone know what should be the video out setting of the creative zen vision M be in this case either "Auto (PAL)" or "Auto (NTSC)" ?
  8. is it necessary to use nero to burn the disc? or will i just be able to click burn disc on the top of the folder task bar? i tried using without nero which doesnt work but wondeing if it's still really necessary to do so. also, for those using vista, should i be formatting it under "live" or "mastered" ?
  9. thank you for that information...looks like i wasted some money on the cable i got then. I was actually going to order this creative one from creative itself but spotted a similar looking one at walmart (which is actually for the ipod). didnt know that they would actually be different despite how close they resembled in appearance. (it just doesnt have that cylindrical tubing towards the male end as the creative one). i read through some of the comments on that website and thinking what the chances are if i switch the cables around, that it may work. only one way to find out, back soon ...
  10. thanks man...yup it's already bypassed and the only system settings that seem changeable are choosing whether the av1 or av2 are "EXT" or "Video." i dont know if there are any other settings somewhere else and whatnot.
  11. im having the creative zen player issue as well with displaying any pictures and or a video/clip from it. I do have the right cables which are connected to the rca input jacks in the back of my d3 to the headphone jack of my player. audio works fine, just nothing gets displayed. i know that there is no creative interface, but i would expect that at least the images or video can show. is there an extra step im missing. appreciate any help
  12. thanks man, i really appreciate your post cause that pretty much summed up everything to a comfortable level for me to do it...before it was all these things running through my mind of what to do thus making me little at unease of when it would come time to actually doing the install...so nothing i have to worry about with the parking brake wire or gauge cluster since the ecu connection will take care of the VSS?? and i dont think i need to be worrying about the reverse since im not planning to install any camera, unless it provides for another use?? misfit, i noticed your in Jersey which
  13. So i'm waiting for my Pioneer Avic-D3 to come in and cannot absolutely wait to have it in. I called a couple of places for the install but it's pretty pricey and I dont think I can wait any much longer once it's here since it'd be a couple days before I can actually get an appointment. I'm completely not tech savy at all wit electric and wires but i do have the time. I've been reading and searching through forum after forum, thread after thread, post after post, and I pretty much have the basics down: unit itself, subaru to universal wiring harness, (mine comes wit ipod and sirius adapters), a
