I have a 2008 charger r/t with the AVIC 900bt. It has been doing the reboot thing for a long time. Everything on the unit works fine, audio-video plays but it just keeps rebooting about every 15 seconds. The music however keeps playing without interruption until it decides to turn itself off every once in a while. It cannot go into the NAV section because it never completes the cycle of startup before it reboots.
I have tried the detailed instructions to get into test mode found on this site but I hit a brick wall at "insert card into unit and turn on power" unit will not go any further. my
