  1. I was just curious, but some of the Google apps that display on my 8200nex (actually, I guess Waze and Google Maps) are washed out looking. This is especially prevalent in Android Auto, where the home screen of Android Auto is vibrant blue...but when I click on the navigate icon, Google maps looks all washed out. My question is, is this normal? The stock maps on the 8200 are useless (seriously useless), so this is a big deal if this is all I get (is a washed out maps through Android Auto).   2. I can confirm that an aftermarket cord (or even a Samsung cord that is using a type C adapter) will bork the Android Auto connection. Mine fails every time with an aftermarket micro USB (with a type C adapter). For what it is worth, I have the S-8 and it works well with the Android Auto on the Pioneer 8200nex. You do have to use the correct USB port (wasn't it number 2?), and you have to make sure that under settings>>inputs>>setup phone>>select USB (something like this, at least on the 8200). I've also tinkered with the HDMI cable and the AutoApp feature. It is buggy
