In Topic: Replacing Factory Nav with Aftermarket AVIC

02 November 2017 - 07:14 PM

Crutchfield says NO to the Pioneer AVIC 8100NEX to replace my 2013 Altima 2013 Factory OEM NAV.

Has ANYBODY here ever replaced a 2013 Altima's Factory NAV unit with an aftermarket?

check dimensions of your new head unit which you intend to install with the existing one, you may have to buy a facia plate, there are plenty on aliexpress,...then check the harness, you might get adapters for it or you may need to cut the wires, you car electrician will know better

you can download backup this is from mrz05 and check with yours what is missing then add on but make sure you do backup of yours first https://mega.nz/#F!n...cJRyf1W3ANrSFZg

Thanks pal...  Any idea which file or folder in particular is responsible for booting up the device? I can concentrate on that file or folder then, makes it a lot easier, looking forward to hear from you manio112 and others..

Can you get into test mode?

You can achieve this by pressing MENU/NAVI button with your right pointer finger constantly and then press RIGHT LEFT RIGHT LEFT RIGHT LEFT with your left pointer finger, and then release all.

Once this is achieved you will see a list of choices in Japanese.

DO NOT CHANGE ANYTHING YET.

If you manage this, you will need to replace some files which you can find in another post here.

Lets take it step by step so please either post here for others to learn or pm me for further instructions

Hi, Yes I can enter Test Mode with a bit of struggle....what to do next? Which files to replace and how?

Dear all,

I can fix MRZ 03,   MRZ 05, MRZ 07 and MRZ 09 as well as others to read ENGLISH instead of Japanese. Also I have a special antenna transformer that can allow the radio to reach all your FM stations for Europe. Further than that I also have the adapter for USB and JACK 3.5 mm etc. I also have maps for Europe which can be easily installed.

The language change is for free, so is the date /time settings.

However you will have to send me the unit and once I fix it I can return it to you.

Drop me a line in a Private Message here as I can not publish my email and I will come in touch with you either via Whatsapp or Viber so please add your number.

The antenna adaptor/converter costs about 20 euro, the adapter for USB and Jack 3.5 mm for your audio/phone is about 10 euro and the maps are between 12 to 20 euros depending on the country, full Europe is about 45. Shipping to Cyprus should not be more than 20 euros. I am NOT selling anything I do this as a hobby but the costs must be covered by you.

I hope this is not understood as an advert because I dont charge anything.

Best

Fanourio
