  1. Hi, I have a D3. In navigation mode under settings I hit the Mute Voice Navigation button and in the On or Off postiton the Lady still tells me where to go...why?
  2. 1.) is there a way to get the red line off the screen when you plug in a route that goes from the vehicle location to the destination? I don't like it, it seems like a road sometimes if you just glance at it. 2.) when talking to somebody via BTB is there a way to make the Name display in the big letters instead of the Number? I don't really care what the number is I just need to know who is calling me and in a 01 tacoma the locaton of the D3 is kind of hard to see.
  3. I got mine from a local car audio shop but it took like a month to get in. the camera looks really good to me but i don't really have a basis for comparison.
  4. 1.) Manuel says yellow rear view input...that doesn't work for me it's the brown rear view output wire. whats the yellow one for? 2.) Is there audio for a rear view camera? 3.) If you connect the camera to the reverse wire directly is there a way to view the camera via (press the map button and select camera view)? that only seems to work when i give it a constant 12v.
  5. I think i might have over looked the zone detail. Dang it now i feel like an idiot. How do you correct the zones?
  6. So when you try to select your destination by plugging in an address I start plugging in the address and it does this auto address thing where it trys to fill in what it thinks i'm going to type and 9 times out of 10 it wont find the street in the same state as me or anywhere for that matter? or it will fill in before i'm finished and i can't write the correct street. is there a way to turn that thing off so i can just manually plug everything in?
  7. I actually like it down there. you can drive and rest your hand on the gear shift and it's right at your finger tips, and as far as navagtion goes i only glance at it and can see it fine other then that i just listen the lady tell me where to go. thanks for the comments
  8. I set up this thread because I didn't find much information out there when I went to install this to my 2001 Tacoma. You can find a lot more information on the 2005+ models but not the older ones. This is a basic brake down of the steps needed for the Avic D3 Install with the bypass. I'm also going to post most of this thread along with two amps under the seats, subwoofer and Diamond Hex components at www.customtacos.com if you're interested and if i broke any rules by putting another website down I'm sorry and whoever needs to can remove that. Enjoy! I soldered all joints and heat shr
  9. Is there any way to set the programmed numbers to display the name and not the number on the first BTB screen. the Preset numbers... I know there is only a few but i would rather look at a name.
  10. Found my problem. The ground came loose, which makes since for the fluctuating voltage.
  11. So is there something else i need to do to see the BTB 200 from my D3? I tried the reset a bunch now and When i look at the A/V menu the blue tooth option isn't highlighted for me to use. I have ibus cable hooked up black on BTB and Blue on D3 which i'm pretty positive is correct. I measured the voltage at the pin and thats the only thing i see that is kind of weird. The voltage fluctuates a lot from like 7.5 - 10 volts but never reads 12v. Is it supposed to? Is there anything stupid i'm missing like turning on a feature or something?
  12. I'm a idiot, didn't even see that If i don't have a power antenna, it's not going to hurt anything to hook it up right?
  13. So i'm installing an Avic D3 into my 2001 Tacoma. I'm going to be hooking up an amp as well. My questions are what wire do i use for the remote turn on for the amp? there is a blue wire out of the factor harness labeled Power Antenna and there is a blue wire out of the Avic D3 harness labeled Antenna control. It would make since to me that it would need to be the one out of the Avic so the amps turn on when the Avic Unit is turned on, but Antenna Control doesn't seem like the correct labeling. What am i missing here? Also if I use the Avic Lead for Antenna control to turn on the Amp
  14. Okay so this should be a simple question. Does it make a difference if you bolt down (with the provided C clip) the ground wire along with the parking brake for the Mod and the Mute wire for the Mod to a ground or can you just hook them up to the ground wire that comes out of your factory harness adapter? I know a grounds a ground but i want to make sure that i don't introduce any noise to the system.
