  1. I just wanted to give another update. I have an 06 Audi A4, and also happen to have the bluetooth option in my car. Prior to me doing the update I had an issues with the contacts appearing on my instrument cluster, to fix this I had to add my contacts to speed dial (favorites button). When I did the update, I noticed that all my contacts were showing up, even the ones that were not in speed dial (favorites button). I removed all my speed dial contacts and tested and noticed that all my contacts showed up and I did not have to store any in speed dial (favorites button). Hope that is
  2. Folks, I just happen to be searching Palms website this evening and came across an update for the 755p for Verizon (http://www.palm.com/us/support/download ... rizon.html). I do not have the D3, and the reason for not getting it was because the 755p did not work, therefore I cannot test it. I just wanted to through this out there to any of you who may want to test it. Hope this helps.
  3. I have a question, and not sure if you will be able to answer this or not. I also have an A4 and I’m very interested in purchasing the f90. However one of my concerns is I want to retain the steering wheel controls at near or full functionality. My A4 is an 06, and I realize you have an 02, did the 02's come with steering wheel controls, if so are the useable? Thanks in advance!
  4. Well that is great to hear! If you do not mind could you keep me updated on anything else you find out that works or doesn't work. I am not to concerned about the whole SMS msg appearing on the screen. My main concern was the phone being able to connect to the device and making a phone call. The clarity of the phone call may be cleared up once Pioneer comes out with their update. Lets hope atleast. Thanks for the update, and taking time to test!
  5. Have you tried pairing the 755 with the F90BT? The phone didn't work with the D3, however the Pioneer now uses a Parrot chip I believe.
  6. That list saved me from purchasing a D3, a few months back. I have the Palm based OS , looks like people whom have the Windows based OS have had success. I would've figured since this is a whole different Bluetooth system, maybe the Palm based OS would've worked. Not sure you can really compare the two or not?
  7. Has anyone had any success with the palm os based smartphones? I'm on the verge of buying this unit however, the only thing holding me back is the bluetooth, as I do not want to loose that functionality. Granted they fix all the other flaws....
  8. I'm not sure how the warranty works on these units, however if the Pioneer reps are stating that the units are defective, couldn't you just start the RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) process with the rep your on the phone with? Basically they would send you out a "non-defective" unit and you would send your "defective" unit back. Then low and behold when you install it, 25 seconds later you'll encounter the same issues, and you call them up again, and say, here is my RMA number and its doing the same thing. Just my .02....
  9. Can anyone confirm that the Palm Treo 755p works with this unit, as it hasn't been compatible with previous units. Not sure if anyone has tested yet or not...
  10. I also looked at that list... The URL points to one specific model from Parrot, not sure if that is what is used in the Avic F or not. Also that is for the UK, phones maybe different in the UK and USA. May just have to wait till the unit is released to public to verify it actually works....
  11. Just wondering if there is a list of phones out there that will work on this unit. I was very close to purchasing/installing the Avic D3 only to realize that it did not support the Palm Treo 755p. I realize that the unit hasn't been released yet, but figured maybe there was some sort of list out there. Thanks in advance.
