  1. Looking for some help. Working on an N4 unit, and when I pulled it out of the dash, there was a blue/white wire that had pulled out of one of the connectors in the back. I think it came out of the connector with the RCA outputs. From looking at the manual it looks like it might be to the system control terminal of power amp. Does anyone have the plug/pin out locations of the wires from the audio/RCA plug I got one from the service manual, but was unsure of what all the abbreviations were. A picture of the wires coming out of the plug would be helpful also. Thanks
  2. Looking at getting a z110bt or 120bt installed in my truck. Is there a way to connect the rear seat audio controls to the unit so that they will function? The shop I talked to didn't think there was. Ive got a 2007 1500 LTZ CrewCab with the Bose System. The stock radio is the AM/FM/xm satelite system. Thanks
  3. I connected the VSS wire to pin 15 or the DRAC. The pins are not well documented in the HUMMER service manual, but with some help of the Hummer network, I was told that there are several outputs that could be used. So far, this seems to be working well and the 3d mode is also working. I think one could also hook in to pin 14 as well.
  4. I was able to get the z1 to start acceptably with the PTR7. I set it up so that when the starter kicks in and the voltage drops, the PTR7 will trigger the z1 to start up. When the ignition is turned off, the z1 turns off. I was able to run a power lead from another circuit that is hot all the time. If i want to start it using the accessory switch, i have to turn the key to accessory twice to trigger the z1. I tried to set it up so the z1 would turn on when the key was turned on and when the the drop in voltage occured, the PTR7 would use a continuous hot circuit to power the z1, but th
  5. I had one other thought, could a PTR7 be programed to power the ignition input, and use the drop out in voltage as a pulse trigger?
  6. I have my console out so I can work on the z1. I did a measurement on the amps on the red ignition circuit, and got 2.8 milliAMPS. Does this sound reasonable? I am in the learning curve on a lot of this stuff. Anyway, I placed the ampmeter between a break in the red circuit, with the leg from the fuse panel connnected to the red side of the ampmeter and the leg going to the z1 connected to the common {black} side of the ampmeter. Thanks for all the input. I also tried a timer relay set to interval, with the red ignition circuit used to trigger the relay. I had a full time circuit
  7. I posted this question several weeks ago, I have found out some new information and wanted to see if anyone had any new ideas. My Z1 is in a diesel truck. I have to turn the key on to start the glowplugs and cylcle the fuel pump. While this is going on, the z1 boots up. The process lasts about 30 secs, and then I turn the key to start the engine when there is a voltage drop to run the starter. The voltage in the power line(Ignition Accessory) to the z1 drop to less than 1 volt. This causes the z1 to reboot. The voltage drop is only for about 1 sec. There is another power line to the z1
  8. Does anyone know where to connect the speed sensor on an 2000 H1 Hummer . It seems to be to one of the connections on the Digital Ratio Adapter. These are the connections documented in the Service Manual. One person I spoke to said one of the unused pins might have a signal that would work. Pin 1 not used Pin 2 not used pin 3 not used Pin 4 Cruise Control Reference Signal 4000PPM Pin 5 Blank Pin 6 Blank Pin 7 Vehicle speed Sensor RETURN Pin 8 Ground Pin 9 12 Volt ignition Signal Pin 10 Seedo Reference Signal Pin 11 Not used Pin 12 Vehicle speed Pin 13 Output Shaft Revolution
  9. I have a small CCD camera I would like to use for my backup camera. It produces a normal image and not a mirror image on the Z1 in back up mode. I was wondering if there is a way to make the Z1 reverse the image?
  10. I was just concerened whether booting and then rebooting the unit within 30 to 40 seconds EVERYTIME the car starts would damage the unit over the long run.
  11. I have a diesel that has to warm up glowplugs before starting engine. When I first turn the key switch on, I have to wait 10 to 20 Sec for the glowplugs to warm up prior to starting the engine. The z1 will start to boot up when I first turn on the switch, and then when I crank the engine, the z1 will shut off and then reboot. Is there a way to delay the startup of the z1 till after I acutally crank up the engine. I have the unit mounted in an H1 HUMMER with a 6.5 Turbo Diesel. The z1 is hooked up to the stock radio harness. Thanks
