  1. Hi all! I'm thinking about finally letting my AVIC-F900BT go and replacing it with the AVIC-8000NEX. Does anyone know if the GEX-P920XM XM Sat Tuner I currently have will work with the new headunit or do I need to replace that too? Thanks!
  2. I haven't been able to get my iPhone 6+ working with my 900BT I tried one of those Bluetooth to 30-pin dock adapters and that works but audio quality is meh and you lose track control through the radio Sucks that these units didn't have BT audio streaming built in. BT pairing for phone calls works properly though. I think I'm gonna finally let go of this unit and move on... looking at the 8000NEX. I'll decide after I read all the complaints about that unit.
  3. Having the phone pairing saved is great! Presets are easy enough to put back in but still annoying. What about Map Favorites? Do those carry over? I hope my update comes in tonight... going on a nice long drive this weekend
  4. Has anyone been brave and updated their iPhone/iPod Touch to the latest 3.0 firmware released today and tested it with the F-Series yet??? I have a 1st gen 16GB iPod Touch and I will not update until I hear that it works with our HUs. Mike
  5. Hey all, Has anyone ever made a button to switch from Day Mode to Night Mode or vice versa? If so, could you post the code or at least point me in the right direction? I have searched through a bunch of posts and have not been able to find anything useful. Thanks Vorian
  6. I wish we could get this info! There is SO much more left to discover in these units!!!
  7. Update the firmware first before anything else. The firmware update will undo anything you do before that.
  8. Ok... I see what I did wrong. I had .full_text and the end of the string... oppsie. Once I get this all working right I plan on putting this all in a seperate layer that I can call up with a hidden button somewhere so it does not take up much more screen space. I do not have much interest in keeping trip info between reboots so I do not think I will bother trying to figure out how to make it keep that data. If things change and I find a need for that function then I will try to figure that out. Anyways, I was not annoyed with you. I was annoyed at the posters that gave me heat because
  9. N-S-E-W, That heat I took from my head unit dying was total BS and pissed me off. I know I hardly did anything to my unit other than so cosmetic changes which I know is MUCH less than what other members have done here. Anyways, I ran into a small roadblock on this trip computer thingy. What code did you use to get the time based info? I'm trying to get time_total, time_driving, & time_stopped to work but nothing shows up in the area I setup. I got speed and distance stuff working though. I plan on setting up a new layer that I can turn on and off for this trip computer stuff.
  10. N-S-E-W, nice work messing with this trip computer stuff. I have not been on here much lately since first my unit died, and then once I had it fixed I just made some small changes to my interface and then got busy with the holidays and work. I have always been interested in a trip computer with nice info like average speed and all the other stuff you made. I hope to have time in the near future to add some of these things to my setup at some point. I do remember a few months ago reading a post that mentioned how to save info for later but I think that had to do with remembering the state o
  11. Has anyone out there updated their 1st gen iPod Touch to the latest 2.2 firmware and hooked up to the F-series yet? I don't want to go through the trouble of downgrading my firmware again if it does not work again.
  12. When I called them they needed my serial number and when I sent it in they wanted a copy of a receipt or invoice. Since I bought it online I just printed out my email receipt which was good enough for them.
  13. I was wondering the same thing. So Vorian, for the record - you've messed with the data.zip file previously, and then after having trouble with the unit, you wondered why that may have happened? I personally don't have the working knowledge enough to be messing around with the internals of my F90, but if I did, and then it started acting funny or bricked out, I would have a hard time scratching my head and wondering why that may have happened. Trust me, I have all the respect in the world for you guys that can work on all these files in these units, and frankly wish I could do the
  14. Well I got my F-900BT back last week and it is up and working again. I was disappointed that Pioneer never bothered to call or email me on the status of my HU the entire time it was out. I also have no clue what was wrong with the unit... Pioneer's repair invoice simply said 'Software Reloaded'. Nothing else! It did come back with the 2.0 firmware already loaded. When I have time I'll get around to backing up the unit again and redoing some the changes I had from before to my data.zip file.
  15. Can anyone test to see if you can make changes to the DATA.ZIP in the new update BEFORE doing the actual update? I'm curious to see if their update does a checksum to verify the DATA.ZIP.
