  1. Glad to hear! I would like to take this opportunity to stress (again) that at the point the instructions say to copy files from your SD Card to your unit, only copy the contents of the "My Flash Disk" folder on the SD Card, to the "My Flash Disk" Drive on your Avic unit. Yeah, I guess I should have followed different instructions. The post earlier on the previous page by RWill should be revised within the instructions of the word document. (Although I do think the picture signifies the correct files to be copied, however, I paid no attention to the pics and only the text.) The curren
  2. No Mac in my home! Just PC for me. I followed instructions precisely, however, I may just have corrupted files perhaps? I would like to start over, but I find it difficult due to inability to access Windows CE mode again nor can just update via SD card when inserting with version update and starting up car. I may be S.O.L...Not too sure how I can unbrick when system keeps shutting down via both ways of updating. Place only the testmode folder from the extracted files onto an SD Card, that should get you into WinCE once you turn the unit on. I posted the MD5 Hash in my original post on

  4. Having some issues here with my F700BT. Downloaded the two RAR files from megaupload links listed previously by RWill. I did everything as listed in instruction as well according to previous document: AVIC F3.00 update instructions. Everything seemed to copy over fine, but after the 20-30 minutes of installation and resetting the system, it shows backsplash image for about 30 seconds and system shuts off. I tried to go back into and redo it, but before able to read off the memory card, system shuts off. Any suggestions on what to do next at this point? I tried to see if updating to 3.
  5. Model: F700BT Devices Connected (XM, iPod, etc) : Ipod AV Source (if playing) during issue: USB Action that caused the issue (pressed button, search, etc): GPS Startup Was GPS routing? (yes/no) yes Was BlueTooth active? If yes, what device? No Anything else you would like to add: Took a road trip from Seattle to San Francisco. GPS worked great, however, I kept running into a problem with the clock. The GPS clock would keep changing time zones...everywhere from Central time to England time. Even when auto-adjustment was on...or off. If it's just me, I wonder if the video bypass had
  6. You're right! Just gotta wait. Question for you. How you customize the screen shown in your pic? Is there a thread I don't know about that explains this? Nice mod.
  7. 11. Model: F700BT Devices Connected (XM, iPod, etc) :Ipod 80GB (6 gen I believe) AV Source (if playing) during issue: any Action that caused the issue (pressed button, search, etc): multiple Was GPS routing? (yes/no) Was BlueTooth active? If yes, what device? Yes, Palm Centro w/ Palm OS Anything else you would like to add: 1.) Such a slow start up..takes 2 minutes just to resume my music 2.) Navi seems to freeze a lot during display 3.) Annoying boxes that say Ipod controls are limited which blocks up a large portion of the bottom of the screen for 6 minutes or so.
  8. someone should go into the other thread "Post your issues here" http://avic411.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=15692 and consolidate all the issues onto one page...er...multiple pages, and then report them to Pioneer that way. Make sure to annihilate all redundant issues from the list. Shotgun not IT!
  9. * Such a slow start up..takes 2 minutes just to resume my music * Navi seems to freeze a lot during display * Annoying boxes that say Ipod controls are limited which blocks up a large portion of the bottom of the screen for 6 minutes or so. * Most annoying : can't change artists on ipod until voice commands are up and running. I can't believe this... * Sometimes IPOD needs to be reconnected, b/c during boot AV is switched to OFF. Happens maybe 10% of the time during booting the unit. * Sluggish button reactions when hitting map, multi-control for voice, or menu
  10. I'm getting my 700BT from tundraelectronics.com for 49.99 down and 600 + shipping which will be 45 dollars extra or something like that. They say they expect them to arrive to their warehouse on June 12th 2008. Considering that retail supposed to be about 850 dollars for this model, I think 700 dollars is a killer deal. I don't know what is so great about the 900BT...Just because the 700BT doesn't do DVD's and MSN direct tuner, the Ipod interface will be able to make up for the no DVD part since the 700BT will, indeed, be able to playback video from the Ipod. Unless the MSN direct tuner i
