  1. Yup, I am in idiot, I swear I had checked that. Thanks so much!
  2. If it was in the wrong port it wouldn't display any information would it?
  3. I had a working SIR-PNR2 unit in my BMW, but when I moved it to my new car, the unit doesn't seem to want to play any music. All the other sources work on the Avic Z2 and I can see the channels and display information on SAT radio, but not sound. Any thoughts? Is the unit bad? I tried a new IP-Bus cable, didn't do the trick. If the unit is bad, I guess I will just switch over to XM, but I wanted to make sure it wasn't something else before I drop another 100 bucks on it. Thanks!
  4. Did disconnecting the battery work for you? I have the same issue. I can see all the information, I just don't get any sound through Sirius. I am just thinking about switching to XM, but I want to make sure there isn't any other issues first.
  5. I wonder if it has something to do with the PAC SWI. I was going to install it, but ran out of time. So currently the wires are there, but the box is not plugged in or spliced into the wheel controls on the vehicle. Is it possible that the Head Unit and the G35 bose ampliflier are not playing nicely? I am really confused why I would have such a low sound output. When it was installed in my BMW if you got past 20-25 it would blow your ears out. Now at 40, it is a little loud, but not loud if the A/C is running full blast.
  6. I would love to just use the volume control, sadly, it doesn't go past 40.
  7. I did that for the DVD without much for results. As for the FM radio, as stated in the manual it always stays the same.
  8. I installed the Z2 into a G35 using a metra 7551 kit that uses RCAs. My sound is very loud on the library source, but on the radio and DVD it is pretty quiet. Is there anyway of increasing the volume?
  9. I moved my Z2 to my new G35. The install went well, but when I switched to the Sat setting I only had sound out of the right side of the car. I checked the other modes and FM/AM, DVD, and Library all produce sound out of both sides. Also, the iPod cable hooked up off of the Sat radio only comes through on one side. Is it possible the Ip-Bus cable is bad?
  10. Does the $200 repair cost cover basically everything? Also, do you know how long they generally take to get it repaired?
  11. Sadly, that is what I figured. Is it even worth attempting to get it repaired? I am just thinking about using it for what it is (all of the other functions still work) and just getting a separate GPS unit.
  12. I have replaced the antenna twice, but the gps now gets no signal and never moves from its current location. Any other ideas?
  13. I am still having this issue. I replaced the antenna and still get nothing. It seems I get some sats locked and then they all-of-a-sudden disappear.
  14. I decided to pull it out tonight in the cold cold weather, lol. The connection seems fine, I have already ordered a new antenna and I hope that will fix the issue. As for the vibration, maybe you guys can help me minimize the vibration, here is a picture of my install, it is on a 2000 528i, so it required hand made brackets. I tried putting some foam under thinking maybe that would help. Sorry for the quality, taken from my blackberry bold.
  15. I am still having some issues, I reset the sensor and now it just says intializing sensor and never gets off that. Also, one the hardware screen it sometimes says "excessive vibration". I am really at a loss here.
