  1. yeah, just order a metra kit and you'll be good to go.
  2. yeah, thats right. Saved me quite a bit of time. Bypass works like a champ too.
  3. I plugged in my 8gb card and it recognized it. I don't know anyone who has a 16gb card to try out on my system though
  4. I just finished installing the f700bt into my car. I can verify that the harness from the d3 is the same as the f700bt. The gps connector adapter was slightly different though. All I did was swap out the old d3 gps connector for the new f700bt one and I was ready to go. It seems that they still use smb cables, just the interface was different. I was also able to just plug in my steering wheel adapter without any problems. cheers
  5. It is programmable to change presets I have it set on mine and it works fine. Only thing is, when in cd mode, it will not change to the next track. But I can live with that.
  6. You just have to reuse the mounting hardware that held your old receiver to the car chasis. They should universally mount to the f700bt.
  7. They could be different part numbers but that may be because it has less wires and the f900bt has more hence the different part numbers. It doesn't make sense to change the harness itself from the same model family. I will report back today when I actually install the f700bt myself!
  8. ON dvd platinum there is an option for burning a dvd to ipod format. I think I'll give that a try and report back.
  9. I would venture to say that the f700bt would be the same too no? I'ts weird that I read somewhere that the antenna connections are different though. It was my understanding that gps connectors were pretty standard.
  10. I see the SD slot on the front panel, but where is the usb connection supposed to be?
  11. I looked at the autotoys website but they wanted to charge shipping with the package. the total came out to $630 with shipping. Where are you getting the $605 shipped?
  12. yeah, I don't see any pricing that low. Must have missed out. Oh well, any other deals around?
  13. I currently use dvdshrink and dvd platinum. Between those two programs, I believe dvd platinum was the only one that allowed resolution changes for different devices. I'll make sure to try that out and report back to other members.
  14. Thats great guys. Exactly what I wanted to hear. Now, just where will I order this unit from!
