Mine works fine after replacing the cable. Yours should too.

I think Apple makes a cable that should work just the same as the Pioneer and I think the Apple Cable is a little cheaper believe it or not.

OK folks my issues must have been the pioneer ipod cable after all. I've had my new cable in for 4 days now and everything works perfect.

Going to pick up a new cable today. I'll let you all know how it goes.

Has anyone had any problems with left speakers cutting out or sounding busted or static when playing their ipod on the AVIC900BT with the new update? Everything was working great with the ipod source until I installed the new pioneer update. Every other source sounds perfect but as soon as I go to ipod source the left speakers sound like crap. I will be replacing the Pioneer ipod cable to eliminate the possibility of a bad cable but like I said, no problems until the update. Also tried 3 new ipods, same issue. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Dude! I honestly think it was the update. Like I said, everything was working perfectly until I installed the update. Let me know how it goes for you.

OK I turned off soundcheck and turned off the EQ and everything is working fine but like I said before, everything with the ipod worked perfectly before I installed the update on mine. I'm thinking the update has it's own issues.

I do have a cousin with an ipod and wil try it but the problems started when I installed the update.

Yes it's only on the ipod source and it sounds like my left speakers are cutting out and like they have a bad connection. Everything sounded great until I installed the update from pioneer. Did you install the update also?

I'm having the same problem. Mine started after I installed the update for the 900BT. Exact same issues!

I agree about the loading time, it does suck but my ipod works fine but slow loading too. I really do like the AVIC so maybe Pioneer will release an update soon.

This hack works perfectly if done properly. I have everyone in this forum to thank for that.

I'd like to thank everyone for all the info they've provided me on this site. My F900BT will be here tomorrow and I can't wait to give this hack a try. I'll let you all know how it went.

What exactly is the mute wire for? Would I need it for any function at all on the AVIC?
