Avic-80DVD

I wasn't sure where to post this. I have an AVIC-80DVD with an AVH-P5700DVD in my wife's car. I just purchased the CNDV-90 DVD's from pioneer which on the website supports the AVIC-80DVD. When i put the DVD in it looks like it is going to load then just says insert appropriate disc. Currently I have the CNDV-80 DVVD's for it. Any one else run into this or have any ideas? Thanks
  2. This question is for the installers on the board. Thanks for the help getting my D3 into my 05 cherokee by the way! Is there any way to get a double din radio into a Jeep liberty like the a new radio bezel from jeep or something? Or am I stuck with that stupid din and a half (or so) size with the rounded corners for ever! Thanks in advance for any help.
  3. OK, then I would need a dash kit for the D3 correct? Also what is this 95-6511 that cntrylvr79 is talking about? The NAV bezel is a bit expensive so if there is another option I would consider it.
  4. I want to install a D3 in a 2005 Jeep Cherokee and I can't find anything online about getting a double din in there. When I go to Crutchfield it only shows me single din stuff. So my question to the installer types out there... Is there any way I can fit a double din into this car without having to saw the dash? I will attach a pic of the radio area so you can see the type of radio it has now. Thanks.
  5. That is exactly what I was hoping you would say! Thanks! I think I am finally out of questions!
  6. So for my AVIC-80DVD there is no difference between v1.1 and v1.2 then right?
  7. In the maps or just specific avic units?
  8. Thanks, one more question and this may have been answered long before I found this forum but what is the difference between CNDV-50MT v1.1 and v1.2 if any? Thanks. Jonathan
  9. Quick question, does anyone know if i could use a navigation disc from an AVIC-D1 in my AVIC-80DVD? The disc says Application Disc for AVIC-D1 v1.2 East. I am not sure what version of the software that is I am hoping it is the same as CNDV-50MT v1.2 but have no idea. Thanks Jonathan
  10.
it's so worth it....im buying it today i had ordered the pioneer ipod adapter but everyonbe says it sucks so i have a feeling im gonna return it
I have no complaints with my CD-IB100 iPod adapter. I am never going to watch iPod video while driving and I like the interface for the iPod to be on the radio instead of me having to look at the iPod to control it. I will say this though if I had an avic-d2 I would prefer to control it from the iPod as the interface on screen sucks. Luckily I have an AVH-P5700DVD so all is well. LOL
  11. The sound quality on XM is not as good as FM can be. I was very disappointed with the sound quality as soon as I installed my XM receiver. It all depends on what you are listening to because they dedicate more bandwidth to certain channels. They give low bandwidth to things like talk radio and classical and more to things like rock and Hip-Hop. But even with the extra bandwidth FM still sounds better in my area. I am getting used to the sound quality but it is definitely disappointing!
  12.
I've been thinking long and hard about how I want to hook-up my IPod Video to my car. I went to the Local Macintosh store and saw the RoadShow hook-up you posted above. It is in deed a nice gadget but when it comes down to it, I think it will be much easier to buy the Pioneer interface box for my D2 and run a a/v separate. The Only problem is that the interface for the cd-ib100 is slow to change between artist, but i can't imagine running a 3 foot long ipod adapter to where I can reach it (and stay safe while driving) and it look descent.
The only problem wit
  13.

Yes
Unfortunately its not. The remote you linked looks like this: and what he is asking for is the CD-SR11, which looks like this: iCeQuBe, drive down to NYC and I'll sell you mine. I just bought a whole new CD-VC1 so I could get a mount, so if you want to buy my extra CD-SR11, let me know.
The one on the top looks like the CD-R11 the one on the bottom looks like the remo
  14.
Pioneer's parts department still sells it if you don't mind paying a fortune http://parts.pioneerelectronics.com/par ... um=CXB9118
Is that the same as a CD-R11? Is that the model that replaced it?
  15.
Video out of the dock connector.
So are you saying that you can get video out of the dock connector on the iPod or is the dock connector just for charging and there is a seperate connection for video? Thanks.

Can you take a pic of the cable? I wonder why Apple doesn't have a cable that gets video from the dock connector. The only cable apple sells has video out of the headphone jack.
