  1. I waited until the units exhibited the issue then took it apart. As soon as I pulled it out about an inch the right speakers returned to normal, so I know it's a connection issue. I'm also sure the problem is with the external media harness(the one with the rca connections). The wires came out and were bent to the left, so I rerouted them to the right. Hopefully that solves the problem because the connection is different now, but if it's because of a short, I may end up ordering a new harness from pioneer. Also, I believe the problem is the connection to the head unit, not the rca connecti
  2. I pulled it all apart and couldn't make it happen. Arg. This only started happening recently, in the last few months. I've had the unit for two years. It only happens when playing from an iPod through the iPod connection. I can switch immediately to the radio or a cd and everything sounds fine. Rarely, disconnecting and reconnecting the iPod resolve it for a while, and sometimes a system restart fixes it, but never consistently. Very frustrating. I'll have to look at it tomorrow when I have a little more time.
  3. I've had the same issue for some time. I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one(though it is unfortunate). I've tried pretty much everything except pulling the whole thing out and testing connections while the unit is on. I've checked all the connections before, but I guess I'm off to rip it all out again. Sigh.
  4. I really think this should be a mod fork, as it has a pretty different look. I really dislike all the transparency. I love all the new features but I'm sticking with the previous mod because of the look. It's really what brought me here in the first place. Thanks for making the version I'm using so great before changing the look, Alex, you did a fantastic job. FF
  5. I'm pretty sure they're all just reverse engineering the code in a text editor.
  6. The map data has to have the speed limit for the road you're on. If it doesn't, no speed limit sign will show.
  7. This happened to me when I commented out a few things in the navigatemap_800_480.ui file and forgot to comment out one line in the code. Have you made any modifications yourself?
  8. Thanks for that! I just commented them out and it's awesome. FF
  9. Conversely, I think the current speed and elevation are too big. I'd prefer they not be there at all because I have a speedometer in my car and I don't care how high above sea level I am. Just voicing another side of things. FF
  10. Any mod out there which can show you the house numbers will tell you this. Almost all of the mods I've seen enable house numbers, so you should be fine just picking the mod you like the best. FF
  11. Fantastic! I look forward to the improvement to an awesome mod. Thanks for all your work on this.
  12. Man, I love this mod. My favorite thing by far is that the second direction line actually tells you how far after the up coming direction the one after is, and not how far from where you are. This has been one of the only things I hated about the unit. Thank you! Would it be possible to have the elevation while in route be another selectable option under "map display", giving three displayable choices? It was that way with another mod I was using on 2.0 but I'm not sure how to implement it. I don't really have a use for elevation. Thank you for the fantastic mod! FF
  13. That looks awesome! I'm not sure about the green though. And can you remove the scale? It's really useless.
