D to the M

Hi All, I am in the market for a new unit but there are some features i want to make sure i get. I currently have a D3 installed and i dont like: - It doesnt speak street names - It doesnt list POI in closest to furthest distance order Is there an F unit that does both of these including Bluetooth? I have the D3 with bluetooth isntalled, would that mic be compatible with an F series? DVD playback is not important because i never use it. Ipod controls are a MUST also. I have an iPhone 3G, would it be compatible with an F Series (IE showing caller ID and contacts and such.)

looks like I'm just have to get the headphone jack then cause I can't afford the F series!

yeah they just need to release a new ipod cable. someone let me know when they do that.

Oh your was a question as well. No it will not play music via bluetooth (or videos) This is because iphone does not support the required bluetooth platform (AD2P) i think its called (Stereo bluetooth) I hope this is a future upgrade, however.

You are telling me that you can listen to your music via Bluetooth on the D3 with iPhone? How?

I'm sure those of you who have an Avic D3 and a new iphone are aware of this problem. I have an ipod connector for the D3 and when i connected it to the iphone 3g, the 3g said that charging was not supported. Does everyone have this problem? I heard it had something to do with firewire technology. If this is the case is there a ipod wire that supports the 3G now? I read that the new F series does, but ill post in that forum with other questions.
