  1. I just installed the iPod hook up unit for My N3 and the onscreen iPod works and scrolls through songs fine but there is zero sound. I have tried under the settings to fix it but I think it might be something on the service screen I have to change?
  2. i have a pioneer avic-n3 model. i have a dodge ram 2500 cummins. any thing with the dodge ram, mopar, cummins back ground works for me. preferably something with cummins
  3. i just got my n3 and i just burned the nav disc the new 2009 one east, ( i live in FL) and well it updated it and all that jazz and restarted itself and works fine. but when i click nav it says please insert disc?! ive tried like 10 times to try getting it to work idk what the problem is.
  4. Hey guys i have been on here a while and am trading my Avic-D3 for a N3. now i need to know are there grounding issues on these units too? its gonna go in my dodge truck and all im going to use it for is the stock infinity system and get the steering controls box for it. So i probably wont be using any of the RCAs just the stock harness. But what all should i know about these units? good?bad?
  5. *** i live in florida, very far from cali
  6. the disc works perfect. the D3 is set up in my garage tho and shows im in california?
  7. alright so i got the new maps file and im trying to burn the iso file to a DL dvd. now i have dvd decrypter and all and i have it open to my east file. all it shows on dvd decrypter is the rar file and the other files in that folder that have been extracted? i dont see a .iso file, only one that says hasnt been extracted or still a winrar file? ill include a screen shot. look how i have the .iso file loaded on the dvd program, is that how it should be? but it shows it as a winrar file when i go to select it in the box to the right?
  8. i just got it back from pioneer... the screen it gives me is that arrow like you would have when the map is up but nothing is there its just a white screen like it doesnt know where i am?
  9. are there new maps for the D3? and btw my disc is kinda scratched up and when i put it in it doesnt do anything but when i reset the unit with the disc in itll load and give me the nav screen but no maps show up? is the disc screwed up?
  10. well idk how they are getting so much noise. my 4 channel works fine and im using 2 of those to power my amp that works now.
  11. my only question on the unit is how do you know if that micro fuse is blown? and doesnt it make a really bad grounding hum and whine when its blown? the amp most likely caused this. i never blamed the deck either i was stating the frustration of having to rig something to their deck that pioneer should have fixed in the first place. my question how is the install the problem when its a clean ground, ignition, switch and illumination going to the unit from the harness?? on the a/v side its my 4 channel and 2 channel hooked up and the remote wire. they both run on the other side of
  12. well i just got the unit back from pioneer. and if something is wrong again then it will go back since its under warranty.
  13. my setup is almost flawless. the ground points for the amps are each on posts that go straight to the frame and the power wires run on opposite sides of my suv than the RCAs. i have 2 kicker 12" l7s and 2 hifonics amps. the weakest link is this rca cable and its killing me that it fried my HU and my 4 channel. atleast i think. i mean how do you mess up grounding the RCA??? you take the frame of the hu and attach a wire to it and then run it to the outside of the RCA. i mean how did it screw both my things up. im so confused
