I was faithfully purchasing mine! Pirates SUCK!

I have an AVIC Z2, and have loved it. However, there has been no map update since 2012, and when I emailed to ask got the answer back that they plan no more map updates for this series!!! I still get update emails from Garmin for a 12 year old hand held I no longer own. Does Pioneer feel their product is so bad it won't last more than 7 years? I do not understand this at all, especially since Pioneer gets the map information from another source. They do not have to develop it. I can understand some companies no longer offering some support for a product after a time, but maps?

I have had my AVIC-Z2 for a few years, and really love it. There is one thing that has annoyed me to no end though, and I have searched the manual for any setting to change it. When I phone "home", either by voice command or using the phone book, the map moves to my home position. I have to press the map button every time to get the map back to current position. Is there any way to stop this?
