  1. Thanks for the tip! I just tried that (basically tweaking its registry settings). I was able to up the volume slightly, but still no where near the nav volume. Will keep playing
  2. Sounds like my solution is to cough up the $750 for the iphone then I wanted an excuse to anyways.
  3. Yes it is the volume coming out of the Z3. Apparently people I can hear me just fine. Unfortunately, my phone has itts 'in call' volume maxed, and still barely audible Have trying with a couples (Moto Q9H and Moto L2) with same affect.
  4. *bump* Has no one else experienced volume problems with their phone? That would be good news because it would mean it is somehow fixable.
  5. I am using the bluetooth module with my Z3, paired with a Motorola Q9h. It connects perfectly, sends contacts and can make and receive calls. The only problem is that the volume on the calls in practically inaudible. It is so quiet that you cannot hear it while the car is in motion. This is despite the AV muting, the phone volume being turned all the way up, the windows closed and the A/C fan off. I use the handsfree quite frequently, and it was one of the main reasons I purchased the Z3, so I really want to resolve this. I want to avoid having to install a separate hands-free system if at
  6. Depends where you are. Technically we have it available here in Vancouver, but the reporting is non-existent so it is no use.
  7. Thanks guys. I assume the same goes for the phone, as it is quite quiet despite being turned up all the way.
  8. What is the SLA? the source level? If so, this ups it for both XM & Sirius at the same time, so Sirius will always be much louder.
  9. Nav system is installed and works great. There is one oddity though - my XM is coming in quite quietly, while my Sirius is much louder. Unfortunately I can't compensate for this with the volume controls (that I can see) as both the XM and Sirius are control together (you can't set the volume independently). Has anyone else experienced this? Any suggestions? I keep having it turned up to listen to XM then get deafened when Sirius or any other source comes on. Thanks!
  10. Thanks guys. That answers my question. Cheers, Pete
  11. Quick question - Does the nav guide voice/system sounds not scale relative to the source volume? When I have the music up it completely drowns out the voice, and when I have the music off, it sounds like it is shouting. I have had a few in car systems before, and they have always set the voice volume relative to the 'general' volume. I know I could ask it to mute while giving nav instructions, but I really don't want to interrupt the passengers listening to the music. Any thoughts? Am I completely missing a setting? Thanks!
  12. HI guys! I was installing my Z3 today, and everything went pretty well. Unfortunately in the process I managed to accidentally cut through my cars antenna cable. Am I able to simply splice it back together, as you would a normal wire, or is there something special about them? Any thoughts on how to fix this? Many thanks!
  13. That nickname gave a baaad mental image I am having difficulty clearing...*shudder*
  14. What about 'Torona'. I found that very few devices (biological especially) tend to remember there is is a second T. This is the first system I have owned with the interface & voices in only in American English. Definitely took a while to get used to.
  15. I know that Garret has posted the metal tray and screw parts on here before. they can be ordered straight from Pioneer I believe. If you do a search of the forums you will probably turn up this info - if not Garret is sure to know.
