I got the EU f700bt , and I'm thinking 'bout getting one for my wife . The US version costs half as much as the EU version . Would it be possible to flash EU firmware and just copy all my EU files to the US model ?

I only changed the colour of the buttons . The dutch (not german) text on the buttons is standard when you choose dutch as general language (in Europe you can choose between 9 or 10 different languages) I think US units only have 2 languages to choose from

TY It's a Peugeot 307CC (the grand-grand-randson of the car lieutenent Columbo drove ) I use the ca.r.pi 161 steering wheel interface Here in europe we don't have XM (or any other satradio) only FM and AM . There's DAB (Digital audio broadcast) but almost no one has it We only have a few radio stations , we mostly stick to 1 radio station and a CD so the presets aren't often used anyway In the .res files (these are zipped archives, you can unzip them ) you can change the layout of these screens in .pnd files . I use the P.CH buttons to cycle through the presets That suffices for me . btw : it's flemish , not german (I live in Antwerp - Belgium) All I did was change the colours to match my interior (see piccies)

I think most cars have their own clock so not too many people care about the avic's clock

the clock is in the top-left corner in every AV screen ....

most mods are cosmetic , just BU the modded files and put them back after the upgrade

I hope it'll be available for EU models soon

you have to connect the F900's handbrake cable to the ground , that's all . Don't connect it to the handbrake . Leave the handbrake alone In my unit I just connected the unit's handbrake cable to its own black power wire and it works perfectly

nothing , live with it

I have a european unit . My voice is the flemish male (not tts). I found a flemish female voice and tried to install it to no avail . I copied the file but it does not show up in the list . Then I tried to delete the german voice and rename the female flemish to the original german name . The result : when I pick German , the instructions are in ... german (?!) The unit apparantly caches the voice files someplace else ... anyone know where ?

that's normal . The hardware isn't present .

I think its in the parrot hardware. I had a parrot ck3000 carkit in my other car (Pioneer uses parrot) and it was the same hardcoded ringtone
