1. It sounds like it doesn't recongnize that the mic is installed. Is there a Menu setting that needs to be changed? Check the Navi menu and go to Volume and turn Voice Recognition On. -Scott
2. It's either in the System or the Initial menu's. Turn the radio off and touch the screen to bring up the A.Menu. Then play with those menu's until you find the correct setting. -Scott
3. This guy is getting an N1 deck w/o the brain. He thought it would work w/o the brain. Maybe he'll sell you the deck. http://avic411.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=441 -Scott
4. I have the voice command and love it. It is a must have. I don't think you can just tell it what song to play though. -Scott
5. 1) Navigation does not always take you via the best route 2) Re-routing is retarded in memory navi-mode. It is never the best way. 3) Scrolling through MP3's takes FOREVER 4) User manual says that you can have different EQ settings for different sources (Radio, MP3, DVD, etc), but that doesn't work 5) Sometimes the touch screen can be a pain in the ass and not always work right away. 6) The rear source can only show DVD or Navi. Would be cool if it could show DVD or whatever was on the front screen (ie. rear cam or something). All and all though I'm happy with it, and th

Good question, I would like to know this too. I'm not sure it is even possible though. -Scott

Remotes

I have had the same problem too with the VC1. Mine is mounted on the right side though. Even if I take it off and put it right in front of the HU it still won't work. I finally figured it out though. There are 2 modes for the remote. One for Audio and one for Nav. You push the top button to switch. Unfortunately there is no way of knowing which mode it is in w/o out playing with it. Take a look at the user manual for the remote to see what it does in each mode. -Scott
8. You can't just burn MP3's onto a data DVD. You have to basically create a movie DVD just using the MP3 audio.
9. I installed a back up cam in my rear lift gate of my 2002 Yukon. It is really dark and green when viewed on my N3. If I connect it to my video camcorder it looks ok. If I plug my video camcorder into the N3 it looks kinda dark as well. Any ideas? -Scott
10. Does anyone have any generic background images that just say Pioneer? I like the ones with the carbon fiber, fire, hot chicks, etc, but I don't have a Mustang, so it doesn't work for me. Maybe a make some cool templates and then we can add our own text/graphics. Thanks. -Scott
11. Did the stock radio have the "gets louder as you go faster thing"? If it does, the VSS will be wired into the radio allready and will be included in your vehicles wire harness. Is that the case for all cars with that feature? My Yukon had that. Is there way to test? Thanks, that would be great if this worked. -Scott
12. I just got a new AVIC N3 and the Joystick seems too loose. It seems like it might move around when driving, especially over bumps. Is it normal for it to be this loose? Thanks. -Scott
13. I have a regular DVD+R burner. I'll be looking for a DVD DL burner in the future. ;) -Scott
14. Will DVD+R work? -Scott
15. I thought I read somewhere that it possible to make a DVD with MP3's that will be able to be played by the N2 or N3. Anyone know how to do that? -Scott
