  1. Thanks to another gsxr for the f700bt files, unfortunately It appears the flash drive has been corrupted with 200+ un-deletable files that are using up the space necessary to install the new files. So off to pioneer it goes, and they better have a good fix because my warranty is up next month and I dont want to do this again.
  2. Add me to this list, experienced the same problem last night on my f700 and now the unit is useless. I tried reinstalling the 2.0 update, but it only makes it to 37% than gives error 18 (something about being out of memory). But now at least it will freeze at the splash screen and if I push the map button it will drop me into the brightness settings, and i can move around from there, but nothing actually works. Does anyone have a f700bt backup they can send me so i can try fixing this thing. I can setup a ftp if necessary if you email me at david@struvedesigns.com. I'm really avoiding having t

  4. You'll also notice that you don't have any track info displayed on the screen. I always know it will take a while when i dont get the track info.

    OSX Anyone?

Apple makes OS's and products that don't need to be messed with. As a graphic designer I work on and own apple computers, and I've worked on and own a pc. The pc requires far more maintenance and are slowed down by all the crap that infects it from the internet. They are generally less stable than my mac. I like not having to be running anti-spyware and anti-virus software and not wondering if the zipped font I'm about to open will contain something that will infect and slow my systems. In the long run i end up saving on the cost of my mac by the increased productivity.
  6. My samsung t-509 doesnt work. However if I ask it to call myself it does recognize and work. But I cant seem to figure out the difference between my name in the contact list and all the others.
  7. I want to add to my previous 700bt issues: Phone: -Besides not having the voice activation, When someone calls me and the phone dialog pops it only displays the persons phone# even though the number is connected to a contact in the contacts list. This makes it impossible to tell who is calling me if I don't recognize the number. -When calling someone from the contacts list the phone dialog doesn't always pop up leaving me with the navigation screen but no way to hang up or change volume during a call once a call has ended it takes 1-2 minutes before the unit realizes that the call has

  9. After reformatting my second larger video ipod it wasn't working again. So I'm guessing it has something to do with what's on the ipod. Which isnt good either since there is about 70gigs of material to sort through and I dont know what I'm looking for.
  10. Yep I now agree, after reformatting my second ipod it wasn't working again. So I'm guessing it has something to do with what's on the ipod. Which isnt good either since there is about 70gigs of material to sort through.
  11. Ok ladies and gents. I am going to answer my own question here. I did some tests and it turns out if your ipod is macintosh formatted the windows based system wont index the ipod info for voice recognition. So if you restore your Ipod on a pc in itunes, it will be windows fat32 formatted then sync on your mac you will be up and running with voice recog. Now if only my phone would work with it, I would a decent system.
  12. Bingo and SH!T, that was the problem. Since I was using a mac formatted hfs+ ipod on a windows fat32 based machine it wasn't cataloging the files and thus not allow voice control. I restored my wifes nano on a pc and bingo we have voice. This sucks now I have to reformat my 80gig ipod on the pc then sync with the mac. Which means if I need to update the ipod I will have to use 2 systems to do it. Not a huge deal, but it would have been nice to leave it as is. Also still no voice recog. on the phone probably for similar reason that I cannot correct.
  13. I'm going to try formating one of my other Ipods of a pc and see if that works. I have a feeling that might be the problem.
  14. Do you use a mac or pc when you sync your ipod?
