Easy.

Use a razor knife and trim the protrusion on the pio xm tuner sat port. Then it plugs right in.

Theres no special adapter, tools, dremel needed. Trim the XM tuner antenna port and plugs the factory antenna right in.

One swipe with a razor knife and your good to go

I was talking to someone the other day and I think they were blowing smoke, but I wanted to check with the pros just in case. They were telling me that there is a module of sorts that you can get for the Z series that will take multiple gauge inputs and display it on the screen. He said that it had multiple inputs for oil pressure, oil temp, water temp, etc.

I can't find anything online at all so I'm thinking its a bunch of BS... but it would be awesome if it did exist!

Older z series had them built in.

I'm not sure how it comes into play but according to the website the sd card comes with some sort of serial number which you have to enter on their website in order to activate the map update. I'm guessing it probably returns some sort of activation key that you have to enter into the radio in order for the update to install maybe? I'll know tomorrow since my upgrade will be arriving then according to the tracking #.

Now that just plain sucks. maybe the same key can be used on the same card on different avics?

ipad uses different protocal than iphones/ipods. I pad operation and control wont be possible thru the navi.

this goes for the rest of the aftermarket.


You might, however, be able to set the ipod control to hands on or app mode and get audio thru the 50 or 51 cable.
