  1. Ok, so I did the map update. Verifications are: - The Pioneer boot screen changes from 2013, or whatever yr it was previously, to 2017. - I confirmed locations that were just built by taking before and after pics. Previous map didn't have these locations because the subdivisions were being built out. Thanks for your hardwork RonS and to the member who provided the maps.
  2. K, 1. run shortfuse script to backup and overwrite with hacked 'RenewalIFLib'. 2. run the map update with pw 'PASSWORDPASSWORD' 3. VERIFY? How does one verify if the maps have been updated?
  3. But do I still need to leave the disk in to do those things? I notice that it only greys out when there is no disk in the player.
  4. when bypass is done what is unlocked besides video. what part of the navi should work? I need to confirm that before i question the guy who did my bypass. do i still need to have the navi disk in to use certain navi functions while driving?
  5. question, if i'm in memory navi mode does the button still stay grayed out. I know if i put the disk in it works but if i take the disc out it won't let me set a new route or anything else
  6. your tv tuner will be useless because the convertor box has its own remote and also has a/v outputs.
  7. Some guy had did this to my n1 pioneer before i bought it, i saw a loose wire hanging from that connector? Could it be possible that this mod will work with an N1?
  8. are you saying that the red circled part is the microfuse that needs to be replaced for the noise problem? this thread was created for the purpose finding the bypass. I'm just using this same picture to find the microfuse that needs to be replace because of the noise issue.
  9. Using this Hi-res pic can someone point out the microfuse on the board? i've been looking but my eyes are starting to hurt.
  10. dude i'm also new here but i can still tell that the bypass method is stickied at the top. of this forum.
