  1. Are you talking about me? I have no messages from you. Must be someone else then.
  2. Do you need to rebuild? Did you manage to download the pictures? That should normally not be a big problem - a small tip from me is to open each photo in a new window or tab in your browser. I have the service manual if you need it. I think you can find it on the forum too, if you search.

    Upgrade your AVIC-HD3BT

I sell map HDD upgrades on Ebay. I am usually able to give small discounts to Avic411 members. Be aware that the current update came out around August 2010, so if you already have those maps (version 5), you are already updated. Pioneer decided to skip this years map upgrade, I hope they will make new maps next year.
  4. Congratulations:) The X920BT is a very nice unit. The X920BT is a lot more stable than the previous units in the X-series, so you will most likely not need to reinstall - ever. And to answer your question, the unit is sold without a backup of the maps. Good luck with your X920BT!
  5. I think you can find it here on the forum under "complete 3.0" install". I have helped some guys with European maps on US units, so it is possible. Some US units accept a full European software/map install, while on other units, I had to stick with US software and only update the maps. To make it work, you need a couple of files: -hacked EZRIDER.EXE -possibly hacked DATA-ZIP -a license file for the maps you are trying to use I think there might be others willing to help you out. PM me after a week if you still struggle, I am going away with work this week. Good luck!
  6. I have to correct myself one year and two weeks later: PAC WRI-P infrared adapter will make it possible to use CD-SR1 with the Avic F/X series head units:)
  7. You should upgrade to 3.0 software/maps and at the same time you will be rid of the rebooting problem. You can re-ground the wires so that all functions will be available. Try searching for "reebot fix 3.0 install".
  8. Garmin mics work very good with our Pioneer units. Don´t go for the double mic one, because the unit has a mono input.
  9. Forum hero Garrettoomey can do this for you, I believe: http://www.avic411.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=16897 I recommend letting him upgrade your drive. Check out the link to his upgrade offer post.
  10. Sorry, I didn´t see you said it stopped after creeping up to 100% reading. This leads me to believe that there might be something wrong with your "My Flash Disk", since the unit fails to write. Maybe you have tried unmounting and mounting and partitioning (I´ve never done this) and you might have done something wrong?
  11. I insert the SD card even before pushing all the buttons. Don´t bother waiting if it already says "Reading 100%", you know that it won´t work when it doesn´t count from 5% reading. I wonder if the unit needs extra power or something to do the WinCE update format? Try this: -insert the card -press reset button for 30 seconds, then do the push all buttons procedure I feel for you, man, it sounds really frustrating what you are going through!
  12. Yes, you should try the 3.0 WinCE files. If you went through the update(format) option, you wiped your My flash disk, and you need to restore it from a "backup". I am not sure what you mean by accidentally pushing option 1, because that is what you wanted to do in your step 7. "7. Select Update using SD/USB (format) option. This will format your FlashDisk removing any corrupted files on there that prevent the unit from loading." If you go through that step you no longer have a working unit and you need to complete the process by reinstalling all the data. I suggest that you follow this gui
  13. Maybe the file system on the external drive needs to be Fat32. Is yours NTFS?
  14. Now you need to reconsider your source of the upgrade files. Try downloading files from a different location. To calibrate the touch panel when you are in testmode, go to My Device, Control Panel, Stylus. To copy the 3.0 files on to My Flash Drive the keyboard is not needed. Just navigate and copy with the stylus using Total Commander.
  15. If you do this, make sure you have the latest firmware for the iPod. I would still recommend upgrading to 3.0 software. It´s faster and has less bugs.
