I just attempted an update from 2.XXX to 4.001. I have a few questions: First I updated the WIN files (blue screen) and reset restarted into test mode. I then transferred the files in windows explorer. 1. When transferring the files from the USB memory stick to "My Flash Drive" I get a message saying that the files are larger than the storage. Is this normal? The update finished. I restarted again by resetting it. The system started back up but stayed locked on the Pioneer screen. I reset it and this continues to happen. Any advice?

Did this work? This seems illegal as they're cheating Pioneer out of their money, but somehow they've yet to be shut down. What version was your unit before? Any problems/giches since?

Im also interested in the changes from 2.0->3.0 and 3.0->4.0 if anyone is familiar. Im trying to decided which is best for me. Thanks

Hello All. I'm wondering what the newest available firmware, software, bluetooth, and maps are for my now ancient Avic F90BT (version numbers please). I plan on upgrading my head unit over the summer but would like to breathe some life back into it for the time being. The unit has bricked on me before so I've had some experience with the software installations and whatnot. Does anyone know where I can find these file? Im particularly interested in the newest software and 2013/2014 maps (I know the maps are sold and will have to be downloaded illegally. Torrent?) Any other suggesti

Hello everyone, wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction for fixing my F90. Few weeks ago it started doing the random reboot about every 2 minutes, but music still played (iPod) , GPS and maps wouldn't work (time wouldn't update). This started happening after I was attempting to eject a disk in a rush as it was starting up. Next time I booted the problems began. Ordered the free SD card from Pioneer with the latest free firmware update on it (2.08 i believe). Ran the update, and update froze and went to red screen at same progress point each time. I read somewhere I needed

the kit seemed to work, despite the rear support being too short to reach the bottom of the radio...ended up just resting the back on the support beam. anyone else ever install a f series in an escape? what kit did you use, looking to upgrade

Just got off the phone with pioneer who told me that this problem occurs because the unit is bypassed, which it is. They said it would have to be wired correctly to fix the issue. I refuse to accept that. I was able to fix my unit myself. It would show the splash screen for about 10 seconds then go to a black screen. After the black screen was up for about 45 seconds i would have to press the map button and then the screen would show. Not the end of the world but annoying none the less. It turns out the problem is in the backup camera setting (i have no backup camera connected). Go into se

called pioneer and they told me the same thing, that it was because it was bypassed and all hardware bypassed radios fail eventually. turns out it works fine now that i set the backup camera to off, but now my voice recognition doesnt work anyone have this same issue?
