    FW 3.0 update

Hey all, It's been a couple years since I've been on here. I was wondering if anyone can point me to where I can find the 3.0 FW update. Short of buying the CNSD-200FM. I'm on 2.006 (or whatever) now, but there seem to be alot of good things I've heard about the 3.0 release. Also, any instructions would be greatly appreciated. ~mike
  2. I'm in Charlotte. I could try to help you since I did my own install. Did you ever buy a new harness?
  3. Folks, correct if I'm mistaken here. When the caller ID flashes on my screen, it just shows the phone number that's calling me. I had assumed it would show me the name of the person calling, using my phonebook as a reference. Is there some setting I need to change? Or am I expecting too much? FWIW, I'm using a 1st gen iPhone. thanks mike
  4. First off, I'm not a hardcore stereo guy. What I mean by that is you won't feel me coming down the street before you see me. I do enjoy my music and I'll 'crank it up' on occasion, but not long enough to cause permanent damage. All that being said, I've had my F700 installed for all of 4 hours and I love it so far, but I think I could use a bit more power. Driving down the road, I've found I have the volume at about 33-34 in most situations. I'm not sure how this compares to others, but my car is older and probably quite loud. I've discovered once I get beyond 35 on CD/iPod/XM, the
  5. OK, I think I know my problem. What do I connect the USB to if the connetor on the bottom of my phone is already being used? IE What do I connect the USB (on the iu230) to? Do I connect it to the USB on the back of the head unit? OK, crisis averted. I hate to RTFM myself. But I assumed the USB connector at the end of the iu230 was female. When, if I had looked, it is a male connector. Once I plugged that into the female USB coming out of the back of the head unit I was up and running. Everyone can go back to their regular programming.
  6. Hey all, I'm was testing my install and everything works except my iPod/iPhone connection. Here's what I've done to test. 1) Set A/V1 to iPod 2) Plug in iPhone after system has booted I've test both my iPhone (1st Gen) and a 1st Gen Nano and gotten the same results. The AV1 button on my unit doesn't even light up. However, if I activate AV2, the button lights up just fine. It's as if nothing is plugged in at all. No Pioneer logo on the iPod, nothing. FWIW, I've got a F700BT with the Pioneer CD-IU230V cable. I'm thinking the connection at the back of the radio is somehow bad
