  1. sure it will. just go ahead and use launch mode and smoke the trans. it voids the warranty if you use launch mode, but thats the only way to make that car fast. if you were to run the gtr against a mustang gt (s197) with a cold air intake and tuner, without using launch mode on the gtr so you dont have to fork over $20k for a trans, it would be a bad day for the folks at nissan. and the gtr costs over $70,000. i paid less than 25k for my GT brand new and 600 for the CAI/tuner package. thats a pretty good deal compared to the gtr. and i heard they are programming the newer gtr's to no
  2. well, i guess if you wanted to have it on or available all the time, you could find a switched 12 volt power source (key on 12 volt signal) and tap the reverse signal wire into that wire. i dont know if that would work but it sounds like it should.
  3. because the camera gets a power signal from the reverse lamp + connection, and when your backup lights are not on, it gets no power signal.
  4. here's a thread on mustangforums.com i made about the install i did. there were a lot of questions in there and i did my best to answer them all as best i could. http://mustangforums.com/forum/2005-201 ... nside.html heres a similar one on themustangsource.com http://forums.bradbarnett.net/showthread.php?t=476850 there should be plenty of information in those threads to get you through the install.
  5. what type of phone. i know my blackberry has a transfer contact option in the bluetooth area on what to send. hope that might help ya. +1 - it really depends on the phone. look for the "send buisness card" function, then you can do it one by one if you desire to.
  6. maybe you should try doing the "master reset" of the unit and re-load the 2.0 firmware and see how it goes. that may be easier than sending it in.
  7. well that sucks a fat one... i don't want to have to pay for something they say is going to fix problems with the existing software/firmware!
  8. sounds like they didnt connect the illumination wire to the right source. it may need to be run directly to the headlamp switch (this is a common method) to get the right signal. if you decide to do it yourself, your looking for a wire that has 12 volts only when the headlamps are on. and the wire it needs to be connected to is the orange wire labeled "illumination" on the avic's plug.
  9. i have mine mounted in the left rear corner of my interior and i have 15% tint and it does not affect it at all.
  10. i ran the supplied wire to the tail lamp reverse voltage wire.
  11. i know... what a travisty... life's rough, i don't know how you can survive with such garbage. seriously, there are people out there (believe it or not) that dont have cars, let alone an in dash nav unit. and you can bet your ass if they did, they wouldnt complain about stupid things like not liking the way the map works on 2d mode. and to the guy who blames all the problems on americans in general, your ignorance amazes me.
  12. what's live.com?? i just typed it in and it's just a search engine.
  13. either check the power connections and the grounds, or have them checked. if they are all ok, tell pioneer you have un-done the bypass and it is still malfunctioning. they are pretty good about warranty issues if your still covered. i never had to warranty the avic's i have, but i did have a single din pioneer unit in my old car and they swapped it out for me no problem.
  14. what would that do?? i am curious about this...
