i am not able to get into the main screen with the up up down down in on the joystick. can anyone help. i can get the reset with eject thing to make the screen retract and open again saying hit reset and i do then when i try the up up down down in thing i get nothing but the main menu pop up with inital settings screen. any help would be great. i need to start using this thing again and then maybe upgrade soon.

are you sure you dont have the screen set to screen off? or re check your wireing.

hack worked perfect, but the ipod didnt like to work at first. and god this thing takes forever to load.

bad flex cable mine did the same.

if you dont want to waste money on a pulse timer you can use a 5 pin relay and just have it triggerd off of the amp turn on wire. and have output to the brake wire.

does anyone know if the usb or ipod addapters will work on an n1 i just want to be able to have direct control of my mp3s without a cd, i have the n1 software on it now but will upgrade if necessary. any help will be great. thanks adam

does this addapter or the ipod addapter work with the n1? sorry to thread jack.

sirius and xm both use the same style plug just a different caseing around it, if you pull the white clip off the yellow plug case then pull the case off it will plug into eather one.

i am somewhat new here but have had an avic since before they came out. i have had a few problems with the unit in the past and they were repaired with the 1 year warentee however that is long gone and my screen just turned bright green then went to a red, the maps are still visible but just have a red tint to them. i figure it is a ribbon cable problem but didnt know if anyone on here could help me. i plan on replaceing the ribbon cable too but i saw on pioneers website that they are not available for purchase at this time. if anyone could help me out with this it would be greatly appreciated
