You need to use the newest testmode files. What your describing is what happens when you use the old test mode. I'm sorry guys but I was using the wrong testmode files and this was my problem. Thanks Retell, I was able to continue with the remainding steps and my unit is working great.

i'm able to complete steps 1-7. After step 7 Step 7: Wait till it says restart in the bottom center. I reset the device and try to bootup with the test mode sd card and the unit initially shows the pioneer logo then goes black. I try without the sd card in and it does the same thing. any ideas? ive reloaded the update twice just in case and nothing.

you do NOT need any converters, here's how i do it... 1) find the youtube video you want, for example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KxKS7t70cUA 2) add PWN in front of the youtube, for example: http://www.pwnyoutube.com/watch?v=KxKS7t70cUA 3) click on "Download High Quality Video (MP4)" save this with the appropriate name 4) open itunes and add the video 5) synch your ipod (make sure to synch videos too, i was only set up to synch music) 6) connect the ipod to your pioneer unit, plays right away

i called and was told to wait for the website to update so i can order from the website. they would not take my order.

I just purchased a "new" f90bt unit and the manufactured date is June 2008. Does this sound right? It has the sticker that says the 2.0 update was applied. I inspected it carefully and the face has no scratches but it did not come with the removable sticker on the faceplate that new touch screens usually come with. i noticed some very light scratches on the side of the unit, hard to tell. I bought this for $520 shipped, I'm not sure if I should complain or keep it. It was purchased from a major retailer but the manufactured date of June 2008 throws me off. Thoughts please.

i just bought the f90bt for $519... i figured when the new unit comes out it's going to be pricey. i remember when the f90bt came out it was $1000+. For $519 you can't get better (IMO).
