  1. Thanks gsxr, replied to your pm, my email is ofd9027@hotmail.com
  2. What? You might want to check here, here, or here. While shutting the truck off does "reset" the unit, why not simply follow the directions and use the reset button? As far as shutting the truck off, I was following this, viewtopic.php?f=33&t=25465, step #7, I also tried the 3 threads you suggested, and it seemed to upload the info, and I at least can get into test mode, and service mode, but after all the data is loaded.....still that GDMF BLACK SCREEN..... nothing but a very faint fan whirr...... I will soon be using this thing for something I'm good at, sledge hammer prac
  3. OK, when I try to go into service mode, I press eject, menu, map, and reset. As soon as I release the reset button, it goes to the blue screen where I can input my codes. I thought that when I release the reset button, and hold the other 3 I was supposed to get a "pop" from the speakers, but nothing, goes right to blue. I can put the codes in, and it says that the unit is reading the WINCEIMAGE.Bin and WinCEImage.CKS files, comes up with the reset message. I shut the truck off, put in the pioneer updates, turn it on, goes to pioneer screen for a few seconds, and then goes black agai
  4. I was hoping that someone might be able to help me with my avic, it is a F700bt, I had updated it with 3.0 when it fell into constant boot up last Feb. I struggled through it, I really don't know what I'm doing. This weekend, the unit starts to boot up screen goes black, and that's it, I can hear the fan running, but it will not do anything else. Now I can't even get it into testmode. I would really like some help with this damn thing, someone I can go meet with Central Florida, or even somebody I could ship the thing to? I would like to see it get the most up to date maps, a
  5. Bump for you, I was wondering the same thing. Do I need 3.01, before going to 3.02??
  6. Will this work for the 700? What's the stylus? This is what I'm getting: Start the truck, unit goes to the "Pioneer" screen, the for 5-7 seconds goes to the "main menu" screen with start up note over it. After 5-7 seconds, goes back to "Pioneer" screen for 20 seconds, and the cycle continues..... Is this what you all are talking about??
  7. Thanks 1loudls, I never thought about the onstar not working... Plate idea looks good!!
  8. I have an AVIC F700BT that was installed in my wife's 4Runner professionally. We traded her truck and we kept the AVIC. Now I want to install the AVIC into my 2009 GMC Canyon, I've never tried to install something like this that has so many different parts...here are some of my issues. 1. What wiring harness do I need so that I can keep the onstar, and the door buzzers etc? 1a. Where is the best place to get it? 2. Is there some way to use the mic that is already in the headliner, or at least mount the AVIC mike inside the onstar mic that is in my headliner? 3. Can I use the factory XM
