  1. Car: '03 Audi A4 with Bose, steering wheel controls. Radio: Pioneer AVH-P4200DVD. I decided to add on the steering wheel controls, so purchased the PAC SWI-PS and SWI-CAN modules that are recommended for this purpose. I installed the modules, wired everything up properly, and eventually got it programmed. I had a HELL of a time getting it programmed properly. It would sporadically recognize the steering wheel inputs during program, sometimes registering them, sometimes not.   2. Hi all, Did a bit of searching around but didn't come across anything. I don't have an AVIC model, but a close relative in the AVH-P4000DVD. The unit sounds terrific in all aspects except the iPod. I get good quality sound output from the iPod unit, except an obnoxious hiss that's entirely audible in any quiet songs, or during intervals between songs or even during breaks within a song. I suppose some people might not notice it, but it drives me crazy. If I turn the iPod charge function off from the head unit, the hiss disappears, and there's no hiss using XM or terrestrial radio, so
