  1. You have to buy an adaptor from Andrea that goes between the DA350 and the head unit itself. Ever so often I ask the caller if I sound ok, and have been getting consistent thumbs up. I purchased a Z140 for one of my cars, so I'm going to withdraw my for sale offer.
  2. It's been a while since I've posted. I've sold my two cars and kept the DA-350's after swapping in the stock mics. Anyone who wants one, I can let each for $40 shipped to the lower 48 states.
  3. Found a source for a DA-350 that wasn't so out there, so will order the adaptor and will report back.
  4. Maybe not "as is", but for another $20 not that big of a difference to as needed.
  5. I want to know about this as well for the exact same reasons.
  6. I have a Z2 and was looking at doing the same thing. But looking at the rear of it and rear of a Z140 the plugs for the cables look much different. Am I missing something?
  7. Ok, I've been in some give and take with Andrea technical support as to the use of their DA-350 mic with any of our AVIC Z units. The key issue is (cut and past key parts): "after doing some research on the Pioneer devices it looks like the DA-350 will not work with the" Z1-3 or Z110-140 "as they are showing a mic level in and the 350 is a line level in device." "The problem with this is that you are going to have a digital in signal and analog output." "What I was meant by converting the signal was to take the DA-350 plug which is line level and convert it to mic level" Ultim
  8. You can pick one of these up a little less expensive here: http://store.mp3car.com/Andrea_Electronics_Microphone_DA_350_p/com-017.htm
  9. Turn down the volumn on your speakers to address feedback? One of the speakers too close to where you mounted the mic?
  10. Much has been discussed on the "Z" Forum as to the Bluetooth sound clarity for phone use via the AVIC Z1 series through the Z140. This is in regards to how clear your voice comes through to who you're talking to. Borrowing from the old adage that the only dumb question is the one not asked, is this also the case for the App radios? Wondering since the App head unit is much more intimate with the I Phone and Android units. My guess same transmission quality issues (mic efficiency seems to be the conclusion at this point), but don't want to guess but rather have feedback of actual experience
  11. ND-TMC10 and CXE-2176 being the same unit. There really is no difference between the two? Really odd they make same unit with different part numbers.
  12. Really interested if the Z150 finally solves the Bluetooth quality issues.
  13. I just want to know if the Z150 FINALLY solves the Bluetooth quality issues.
  14. Has anyone installed an Andrea DA-350 mic and can now report if it made a noticable improvement?
