  1. I was getting pretty frustrated with the connection process with my Appradio 3 and my iPhone 5, so I decided to swap out the Lightening to USB cable that I had purchased off of ebay for an authentic Apple Lightening to USB and it really seemed to make a different with how the AR3 connected with the iPhone 5. I found out later that even though the cables look the same, they actually have a slightly different version number. So this started me wondering, would the inexpensive HDMI gold tipped cable that I purchased off of ebay also be causing issues? So my question to you folks is, have you n
  2. I would contribute. Especially if the new version of App Extensions transferred "touch" control from the iPhone to the Appradio. Right now we can transfer the image on the iPhone 5 to the screen of the AR 3, but there is touch control.
  3. wow, which appradio? Do you have the latest up date to your Pioneer radio? Which phone are you using? What is the operating system of the phone?
  4. Appradio Live was just updated today 12.30.2014 and it gives you the ability to input an address along with some other improvements. Not sure if this help in your situation or not...
  5. Using a bypassed Appradio 3 (latest firmware 5.08) with a jailbroken iPhone 5 iOS 8.1. Has anyone had any success using Cydia "Activator" to bypass the nagging, "Allow" pop-up window that displays everytime the Appradio app launches? I keep my iPhone stashed in my center console and it would sure be nice not to have to pick up the phone everytime "Appradio" launches. If you've had any success, would you mind listing the setup steps please? On a side note, I think the Appradio 3 is pretty cool and has a lot to offer for the price, especially if you can pick up a used unit. Switching back
  6. Hey, just wondering if it would be possible to use the Appradio 4 operating system on an Appradio 3 ? Sure would be nice to use Apple CarPlay on the full, 7" screen of the Appradio 3, the display looks really nice, plus the integration with Siri is pretty impressive.
  7. Just to test, and to let other owners of Z110BT's out there know, I went out to my car, hooked up my wife's iPhone 4 with the CD-iU50v cable, used the app, "Pioneer AppRadio" interface and everything works as it should. I've posted a photo below. Does anyone know if any of the brilliant hackers frequenting this site will upgrade beyond 5.1 so that we can use the iPhone 5 with the lightening adapter? Sure would be nice to be able to take advantage of Appmode with an iPhone 5..
  8. Previous poster is saying that your 64 Gb will not work, 32gb is the max. I would try loading a movie in .mp4 format and see if that will play. I've tried .avi format movies in my 4gb SD Card and my Avic Z110bt didn't like the format. One more thing, put the movie in a folder, label the folder, 01
  9. Thanks for your response rgarjr. I tried and iPhone 4 with the CD-1U51v 30 pin cable and that worked great, I was able to get the App Mode screen. The problem must be the Lightening pigtail adapter used for the iPhone 5. When I hook up my iPhone 5 with the Lightening adapter cable, I can't get the App Mode screen. Does anyone know if Pioneer has come up with a solution to this issue?
  10. Here's a video of what I'm talking about. My Avic Z110BT has been upgraded to 5.1 and I can't get the horizontal scrolling icons to show up. Can anyone else comment on this feature? http://youtu.be/PjmXkB_scAY
  11. Has anyone been able to get the Appmode screen up and running, (visible) on an Avic Z110BT, upgraded to 5.1? I'm using the stock, CD-1U51v 30 pin cable with an iPhone 5. Have the Appmode App installed on my iPhone, but have not been able to get the Appmode screen to show up, (I get the vertical icons on the right side of the screen, but I don't get the large horizontal icons in the center of the screen that are supposed to scroll, left and right). Perhaps it's not possible with a Z110BT. When I go into settings > AV settings, the system does not give me an iPhone option, I only have an
