  1. Hello, Looking at getting a unit for my fiance's car and I've settled on the 4100/4200 (need Android auto). Pioneer has refurbished 4100 units for pretty decent prices ($350). The car that it's going in is pretty old (03 civic) and needs nothing special. Do you think it's worth it to buy the refurbished unit from pioneer or spend another $100-150 for a new one on Amazon/Best buy etc? Thanks T

  3. Hello all, I just want to confirm that the ND-TMC10 is the correct unit for a Z110bt. I checked on Pioneer's site as well as Amazon and it only mentions the AVIC-X940BT and AVIC-X930BT. I want to buy that and the map upgrade to install over the weekend.
  4. Hey all, Did purchased and completed the Z120 upgrade and for the most part I do like what I see. The ipod control screen is much better and the navigation of it is great. here is my super short list of complaints that i hope everyone can help me solve: 1: No "shuffle all" button. I used the shuffle all button quite often when im sure what im in the mood to listen to. 2: Screen sensitivity: Is there any way to make the screen less sensitive? I often make selections I dont mean to when im trying to scroll up or down (especially on the ipod screen). Thanks in advance. Trent
  5. So after about 2 hours of fiddling, I found the VSS wire and connected it. It wasnt nearly as difficult as I expected it to be. I also did some testing as to the position of the GPS antenna. Test after test, it was apparent that the GPS unit really wanted to be outside. Right now its suck on the outside of my trunk up near the winsheild. After driving around for a few miles I noticed a considerable difference in the tracking of the GPS. Now the important question...how weatherproof is this gps unit? I used to have a P5700DVD with the add-on dymanics kits. That GPS unit sat in the same spot
  6. Thanks for the reponse TNT, I tried that and it was successful for a short period of time. It then went back to being off. I think I am going to move it to the front somewhere instead. Maybe under my roof panel by the winshield. Another question with the VSS wire; on page 12, in the Connection method, it mentions a clamp type connector for the pink VSS wire. Looking in the box, I see no clamp on the pink wire. I do have my white/purple wire that does have a clamp. Do I need this clamp for this to work right? Also, as for the location of the speed wire in the car, is it just as si
  7. Hello all, I have had my Z110BT for a few days now and its having some problems that are just an annoyance. Hopefully you guys can give me a hand. The car is a 2009 Nissan Altima 3.5L 6M. The radio was also installed by a "professional" (I use that term EXTREMELY lightly) installer. Problem 1: Ever since day 1 the GPS has been off. Some days its more off than others. The installer mounted it on right behind my unit in the dash so I figured it was getting interference from somewhere. I removed it from that location and placed it under the lining in my trunk (had great luck in my previo
  8. wow i am extremely shocked and disappointed this feature isnt there. Where can i go to tell pioneer how I feel and suggest a recommendation? If no one else has "pioneered" it, they definately should. especially after all the money dropped on it.
  9. Hello all, Just got my 110bt hooked up yesterday and so good so far (the dealer didnt hook up the speed pulse...is this needed?). One question I havent been able to find; can I access the addresses of contacts from my bluetooth phone? It pairs with the phone fine, but I cant find a way in the unit to pull up the addresses. All my other gps units had this capability so I would imagine this one would too. Thanks, Trent
  10. Hello all, Long time Pioneer user, first time poster. I just made the jump and purchased an z110bt and I am getting it installed on Friday. I have an ipod and tons of friends with ipods so I am curious as to the best cable to get for this unit. I do occassionally watch video on my ipod so I would like to have that capability whenever I wanted it in the unit. I have seen many cables out there but can someone direct me to the one which will integrate with the ipod as well as give me video? Trent
