  1. Can we work on porting to android now with haret? Here's a guide we can use: http://wiki.kldp.org/wiki.php/AndroidPortingOnRealTarget Here's a compatible CPU kernel with source: http://code.google.com/p/android-group-korea/downloads/detail?name=linux-2.6.26-at1.android.zip&can=2&q=
  2. I would do a patched update, but worse case scenario, we use testmode to transfer
  3. Just checked it. Same update vulnerability exists. These guys aren't even trying.
  4. Condi, are you experienced in programming? If not, can you try if my WinCE GPS program works? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=474582 You might be able to use it to turn on GPS. You might have to install the ARM4 .NET Compact Framework CAB first. Let me know how far you get.
  5. This relevant to my interests. I'll check it out tomorrow. The nice thing is we can launch executables without bricking (I think). I might have to dust off my WinCE dev tools, but this is genuinely exciting
  6. hey man , can u help us? were are at a stuck at o point were we need some assembler skills, in hack of Z units, can check the forum http://avic411.com/index.php?/topic/31534-condis-hackmode-v11-windows-explorer-sdusb-and-autoupdate-feature-updated-08052011/

we have to find out what some prograns do, and your skill are welcome. by the way Thanks for Z120 upgrade for free ... rsrsrsr

  7. We need to find that testmode. Are you sure it doesn't work? Have you done it before on a Z110/Z120? Is there any manual available?
  8. I know you might be kicking yourself from hearing this, but it might have just been a bad SD card. I would have tried another SD card. As for the $350, if the device was bricked (and not just hanging on update), then they'd have to reprogram the chip. It's easier for them to just swap out the board than to get all the solder points and reflash it. The probability of flash failure is probably so low, they probably don't even reflash bad boards anyway. They probably discard them. Pioneer is a Japanese company and you can assume the parts would be repaired there or somewhere else in Asia
  9. Bluetooth Dial Up Networking, means internet over bluetooth.
  10. The SirfPrima already has linux support. the question is finding it. If I can find a kernel, the hardest part is done for us.
  11. I'm not an electrical engineer, nor am I too well versed in Linux, but I'm pretty 90% of what you need to properly port the Z1x0BT to Android is in this 400page PDF http://www.4shared.com/get/ARDbpkFH/CSM-00364_RevC_SiRFprima_Devel.html
  12. I'll reverse engineer it if they do. I wonder though, While I know that the Z110BT can be upgraded to 2.000, is it running the same EXACT files as the Z120BT is running? It could be possible to make package our own update by using testmode to dump the Z130BT file and flashing it ot the Z110BT/Z120BT
  13. The z120BT to z130bt update method is cracked. I have a fake v2.004 that runs on Z120BT that will accept any upgrade in the SD. I need to test before it's public (of course)
