  1. This is an issue with IOS 5 and affects any iPhone or Ipod Touch running it. There are 3 or 4 other threads on this regarding the F700BT/F90BT/F900BT/X710BT/X910BT platform AVICs.
  2. I happen to own an '01 S4 myself. The reason you are getting sound from the LF only is that you are actually getting sound from the dedicated phone speaker that these cars have when they are Bose equipped. The LF speaker wiring goes to this speaker. My strong guess is that your Bose amp is not getting turned on. Make sure you connect the AVIC's amp turn on lead to the Bose amp turn on lead.
  3. There's not reason to wait! Go to your settings menu and change the Video 1 input from iPod to AV1. Select AV1 as your source and Netflix should work just fine.
  4. My bet....they got the AVIC X920BT/X930BT Pandora app made by pioneer that is having issues with IOS5 with our older F900BT/F90BT/F700BT/X910BT/710BT units. I'm likely getting a 4GS soon as part of our annual phone upgrade rotation. I'm thinking of taking advantage of the new mirroring feature of the 4GS when using the HDMI video cable. I will need an HDMI to composite converter, but those aren't too expensive. The advantage here is that no further IOS update will likely break anything and generally anything that can appear on the iPhone screen will show on the AVIC. I may use the AV2
  5. Assuming we might never get a fix for this, I have been experimenting with using streaming video instead of syncing video via iTunes. In the process I ran across a very good and simple to setup streaming app called Air Video. Basically, you install a server on a computer at home and point it to various directories on the computer where you have video stored. You then buy a $3 app for the iPhone, there is a free version you can test with. The nice thing is that it can convert many file types in real time at various qualities depending on your preferences and the type of connection you are o
  6. I've done a little more research, AVICs are definately not the only car radio or A/V dock that is having issues with IOS5. There have also been other issues with the programs that use video out. I'm beginning to think Apple has broken more than a few things with the Ipod functionality of IOS 5. Good news is that we are much more likely to see a fix from Apple than Pioneer. I think we're just going to have to hold on and wait for some IOS 5 bug fixes.
  7. Pioneer is working on a fix for Pandora and Aha since these are their apps, not Apple's: http://www.pioneerel...ion/AVIC-X930BT IPod playback seems to have issues on IOS 5.0 in general. My older X710BT will play audio just fine, but if you switch to the video mode on the iPod interface it will reboot the unit. From what I can tell, there seem to be a few bugs in general with external video and audio output on IOS 5 outside of the AVIC units. Look I'm no Apple fan boy and I carry an Android and iPhone 4 phone with me every day. The one thing I can say is that Apple gets fixes out much
  8. I had a look at the individual file versions of the latest US and EU firmwares: Latest US: ---- integrate version: 3.020100 ---- 7z.dll - 1.0.0.6 CustomFontLib.dll - 1.0.0.6 GdiPlus2.dll - 1.0.0.6 V2dModel.dll - 1.0.0.6 AplCommonLib.dll - 1.0.0.1 AplLib.dll - 1.0.0.1 Av.exe - 1.0.2.5 CommonLib.dll - 1.0.1.7 iPod.dll - 1.5.0.1 iPodCP.dll - MainMenu.exe - 1.0.1.3 Navi.exe - 1.0.0.1 NBaseLib.dll - 1.0.0.7 NDeviceLib.dll - 1.0.0.1 NEventBaseLib.dll - 1.0.0.6 NEventWatcher.exe - 1.0.0.10 NPCommonLib.dll - 1.0.0.6 NPLib.dll - 1.0.0.1 NStan
  9. Well, I'm in the US...so hopefully we're dealing with two different support organizations, doubling our slim chances of getting a real response!
  10. I've tried a few things, but no success. I opened a ticket with Pioneer this weekend. I'm not extremely hopeful, but then again they did release a map update and firmware fixes for v3.xx and v4.xx units in Europe a few months ago.
  11. I also tried a 3GS that has been upgraded to iOS 5. Music works fine, but my X710BT reboots if I try to press the video tab. I can play back the audio of a video podcast with no issues in the music mode.
  12. Well, it would appear then you might be able to at least get music working but upgrading to 3.0 via one of the hack methods or buying a map upgrade.
  13. My x710bt (which is basically the same as your F90bt) will play music at least.....what version of software are you on? I'm on 3.0201.
  14. Are you able to play videos? I'm on the production version of IOS5 on an iPhone 4. I can play music just fine via the iPod input, but the minute I swtich to video, my X710BT restarts. I'm wondering if any of this has to do with the fact that IOS5 has split the video and music IPod functiond between two apps now.
