  1. THe stereo knows when the vehicle is in reverse when you hook up the reverse sensing wire from your head unit to the reverse lights in the vehicle. If you power the camera from the ACC switched wire, you can flip on the camera any time from the camera button on your head unit. Here is a shortcut for you.... if you have a truck with a towing package, you can pick up 12V switched from your trailer plug. This will save you from running a power wire all the way to the front. It has a positive goes to battery ground blue wire goes to green comeing from unit and green goes to remote wire to unit all other wires stay disconnected I sure thats how it goes and you dont have to do any thing dvd will play hope this helps out.it comes with easy to read instruction it says to program but dont bother just wire it up and its good to go.hope this helps

  3. I had that same problem solved it by getting a PAC universal trigger made for a alpine sterio works just fine with pioneer.

  4. I have the 3200DVD and the U220 Nav. I have tried the relay bypass and it works WITHOUT the Nav unit. As soon as you plug in the nav, it will not bypass. I simply installed a switch and flip it off then back on and it will be bypassed. The relay was removed, the parking brake wire was hooked to one side of the switch, ground to the other.
