3.22 ... looks like I missed the manual step to apply fw upgrade, per your posting here: http://avic411.com/index.php?/topic/35230-2012-uscan-maps-cnsd-310fmuc-upgrade-updated-to-supereasymethod-beta/ And thanks hobbes, seems like I missed your point earlier. I loaded the 3.24 from the fw upgrade package 'Z140 Files.rar' and it's working like a charm now.. Pretty rad, now I get to enjoy all these amazing bluetooth app features I've been hearing about.

Thoughts on this? Anyone think this is stored as clear text? Some of those presents are useless (super bass for example).

Is this the update mentioned here?: http://www.pioneerel...ions_v3.001.pdf That .exe is no longer hosted... anyone have it locally?.. Nevermind, found it on the interwebs here: http://www.lookwhati.../ahgbjjlfo09pg# Gonna give it a shot. Hopefully this wipes the bluetooth data, my unit already has that fw version. [Edit] Yea this didn't work post 940 upgrade. It didn't even recognize the fw upgrade sd was inserted, it's likely looking for the 940 version. Is there a 940 fw upgrade package?

Anyone have this binary locally? Pioneer doesn't have this hosted any more. [Edit] found it here: http://avic411.com/index.php?/topic/35911-cannot-connect-aha-or-pandora-over-bluetooth/

Sorry, I realize this is a cross post to where I originally submitted this question: http://avic411.com/index.php?/topic/35911-cannot-connect-aha-or-pandora-over-bluetooth/ After my 930 -> 940 firmware upgrade I'm unable to use the bluetooth Aha or Pandora feature from my android. I have enabled bluetooth connection in the avic settings menu and though I can connect bluetooth phone and normal audio. At first I thought it had to due with the fact that my android is running Sense4.2, which has a partial implementation of the bluetooth protocol. HTC develops the Sense l

[FIXED: Just requires manually running the bluetooth firmware update with the \Firmware copied onto the root of an SD from the Z140 upgrade package] Hey guys, After my 930 -> 940 firmware upgrade I'm unable to use the bluetooth Aha or Pandora feature from my android. I have enabled bluetooth connection in the avic settings menu and though I can connect bluetooth phone and normal audio. At first I thought it had to due with the fact that my android is running Sense4.2, which has a partial implementation of the bluetooth protocol. HTC develops the Sense libraries for their p

It's nice to have hardware buttons and not rely on just touch controls IMO. I also second previous comments about being wary of the moving face plate. You can also pick up the X930 for ~400 and do a software upgrade if you're techie, but it sounds like you're willing to pay for quality.

Time to audio varies with which source it first attempts to continue playing. I forget right now which one is the fastest (MP3 CD is pretty speedy) but consider that when you're comparing times across companies.

Congrats on the purchase, hopefully you like the sound. 1) Bluetooth controls don't typically include a fast forward or rewind, just a skip, so this is a limitation of Bluetooth... unless I misread your question. 2) Sounds abnormal, both my Bluetooth sound and NAV are deafening.. What did you do with your Mute (yellow/black) wire?

What are you talking about? Maybe your unit is in Demo mode, I don't believe there is a screen saver for avic X units.

Just browse around the forums and look at the other current active threads. There are a few things in development but for the most part hacks are compatible across the 920/930/940 series.

Def. good information and a nice summary, thanks for posting it. I imagine this might become a sticky if we find more lost features. Can you possibly summarize the gained features when going from the 930 to 940? I still haven't seen it concisely written somewhere from someone who has done the upgrade. Cheers
