I just traded my car in an impulse buy, so I go how that night remove my rims, amps, subs, and Z1. Not taking any of the wires with me. The day afatr when driving in with my shiney new car I look at my Z1 sitting in my Garage and realize what a big mistake I had made. Is the Z1 now useless now that I have left all the wires in the old car? Will anyone buy it on Ebay?

is there a reason that there is a bunch of swastikas on the screen? Ther are lots of NAZI's in Japan Sory I had to say it... nice catch though... but if they were turned around they would be swastikas but they are not.

If you have installed radios before then you will have no problems installing the Z1. Only two additional wires Rev, and Vss. Vss is optional depending on where you live. I say install the unit yourself and pay the $300 for them to install the camera, ipod/bluetooth adapter and XMNav.

Sounds like the wrong wire is hooked up or the Vss connection is faulty giving a bad feedback. Check the connection if that looks good double check that it’s the correct wire hooked up. If not sure then unplug the Vss wire and see if it still does the same thing.

Wrong! The Z1 works perfectly without the VSS. As with any GPS navigation equipment. Over a year of use and never one issue. Here is a question for you to ponder... With a portable Nav e.g. Garmin, AVIC-S1 etc. Do you plug it in you head so it can tell how fast you are walking?!? The VSS is only used when the GPS is unable to locate its position i.e. receive satellite signals. Tunnels, tree cover, cities with large building, etc. If resetting your Z1 doesn’t work then I would think that it’s defective. If the arrow points in the wrong direction then it is having difficulty detect

The res shouldn’t matter; I use 72 as well though. 500x240 = ~6.944 x 3.33 it is not exact so be sure to select pixels and not inches. I am not sure about the D3 but I think all pioneers use 500x240 and if they are not then the unit will make adjustments and sometimes screws up the image.

You can finalize a CD-RW disk and still erase and write over it. I have never had this work with the Z1. The Z1 wont recognize the disc the second time around. I have tried it with music and backgrounds. Maybe it my PC or my software... or me lol. Human error is very unlikely though
