  1. The best thing about this update is that it was free thanks to you all! I would have been really annoyed if I had paid for it. Just downgraded back to the old version. The direction and mapping of the new navigation is horrible. The navigation has yet to guide me to where I need to be, it's like crApple maps after the 6.x ios update! Maybe the same programmers? Here's all the stuff I found wrong so far... - It moved my house across the street. - It tell me I've arrived at my destination at some intersection miles from my entered destination. - It tells me to "exit the highway in one half mi
  2. Completed successfully on my commute to work. It was a LONG and QUIET drive! 41 minutes from start to finish including bluetooth update. Still have to go thru the settings.
  3. After searching around I found a download. But the instructions are far different then the ones in this post. So I don't think it's the right one and definitively not worth bricking my radio.
  4. Is there a link that does not contain virus infected software. The piratebay link tried to download a fake infected flash player that both adobe and my AV prevented. The other link to an exe contained some kind of virus infected "secure transfer" software. Again my AV stopped it. Where are you all getting your files from?
  5. I'm getting ready to install one of these this weekend. Did you get your issue resolved?
  6. You will lose navigation voice command with the update. It's clearly documented on pioneer's site. It essentially downgrades your z130 to all the features and functions of the z140. I saw no value except maybe better android support. I hope they add it back in the 2013 update.
  7. A new install of windows always defaults to PST or -8. Since it's a "GPS" it should have knowledge of where you are and what TZ you are in. Also MS OS's can tell when DST starts and ends and sets you PC automatically so again it should be able to do this on the radio. I wonder if the APP radio from Pioneer handles it? If it's based on MacOS's they can handle off this stuff. I've never had to set the time on any MAC. It even figures your TZ at home without any GPS based on your public IP.
  8. Surprised that my clock didn't update off the GPS for DST I had to fiddle around to find the Time Setting. I noticed the first entry was set to +2??!!? This didn't make any sense at first. I live in CST/CDT time zone which is REALLY -6/-5. So why was it +2? I'm guessing this is some kind of Microsoft thing as it seems 0 is really PST/PDT (-8/-7) and since these radios are MS embedded OS I guess it thinks Redmond, WA time is 0 offset.
  9. Pioneer has an "Auto-EQ Mic" model CD-MC20. Anyone know if this is any better the the clip on provided with the Z series?
  10. It also does not include HD radio, tagging, Bluetooth and voice command. Looks like it doesn't support the traffic tuner either unless that comes with a gps accesory. By the time you buy and add all that you could have the z130.
  11. I have a Z130BT with the axxess aswc and it does not work as you describe. When you press and hold for the beep it seeks to the next broadcast frequency, NOT the next preset. This was confirmed by pioneer. See this post for details http://avic411.com/i...aswc-and-z130bt
  12. The other day listening to pandora I went to adjust the volume and found my steering wheel controls didn't work. I tried mode, mute, phone functions and it was all dead. Thought my ASWC failed. Later everything worked again when listening to the fm radio. After a little playing with the ASWC, pacs and a pioneer remote I have confirmed that when using the pandora or aha apps the SWC interface is disabled. The front panel controls stil work fine and changing the mode out of the Internet app re-enables the SWC interface. Anyone else seen this?
  13. Just an update. I contacted Pioneer and they called me back regarding the issue. At this time they see no problem in how the SWC Interface is coded as it works "properly" when used with a Pioneer Wired Remote which of course has buttons for both seek and presets. Interestingly enough with the wired remote, you use seek up/down for all modes and the preset up/down apparently only works in the radio mode. They did take the note of the issue and said if enough users call in to complain, it can be easily changed or fixed with a firmware update. If you want the SWC to work like the hardware botton
  14. Not sure what is being referred to as "off" here. I'm not aware of anyway to explicitly turn off the power like on a traditional stereo. On my unit you can turn the radio "off" by pressing the "off" button on the left side with the modes. You can also turn the screen display off by pressing and holding home for 2 or 3 seconds. This just turns off the display, but music and such still plays. Those are the only two "off"s I'm aware of.
  15. The hard buttons are described on the next page. See my early post above.
