  1. I've tried every card from 64MB (from the darkest crags of my closet) all the way up to the 64GB ones that work in every other Avic deck I have (I know I know, they don't work, they're unstable when you format them for fat, but this problem isn't specific to any card brand, size, or format). I did a 14,000mi road trip watching a number of shows completely on the 64GB cards in 2013, this problem seems to only happen since I swapped out my z150BH for the 8000NEX, and even then, it's only happening as of the newest update for the deck. I also have a TON of 32gb cards of differing manufacturers.
  2. So the problem turned out to be that VWs and BMWs tend to overvolt when running, which was causing the camera not to work. I soldered in a 12v regulator between the camera and the power wire, and it works perfectly now.

    SD error

Every now and then while driving my car the video will cut out to a screen that says SD card read, and then it will start the card back at the first video file on it. This has happened across a number of SD cards of varying sizes and manufacturers. Is anyone else experiencing this?
  4. Also, my friend has my old AVIC Z150BH in his Audi A3 with the same camera that I have for the BMW, and it's working perfectly. He got it installed at the same shop by the same guy. I'm really confused by this, and Pioneer customer service was absolutely useless.
  5. Sorry for the delay in reply, The camera is wired into the reversing light, and when the car is turned off (and the power to the reverse light is below 12v), it works like a charm every time. It's only when the car is on and the power in the reverse line jumps up to 12.6v that it stops working. It's the same in the Jetta, and this problem only started happening when I upgraded the deck from the old AVIC to the new NEX. It's strange that it's happening the same way on both cars with different cameras and installations from different shops. settings are Camera view: off Back Camera
  6. I just had my 8000 NEX installed yesterday into my 2011 BMW 335d. When the car is off, selecting reverse turns the camera on exactly as has happened in all of the AVIC units that I installed into my 2010 Jetta TDI Cup Edition. Once the vehicle has started, it will engage the camera the first time I put it in reverse, but never again until I shut the whole car down and turn it on while in ACC mode. The voltage is just under 12v when the vehicle is off (and the camera activates as it should), but when the car is on, the voltage goes to 12.6v and the head unit seems to pretend that the trigger do
