  1. I haven't been on here in awhile. I upgraded my iPhone 4 to the iPhone 5 and haven't been able to use the iPhone 5 with my AppRadio. My AppRadio has been downgraded to a radio and iTunes using my old phone. I couldn't use any other functions. With the release of the latest Jailbreak, I broke my iPhone 5 (very slick program). There is an app called MyWi. They've updated it and now it has the ability to turn on data sharing and off when your other device (the non-data) sends a signal. This is done through bluetooth. This is avery cool feature. Now when I get in my car, the old iPhone 4 a
  2. Right now I have my iPhone 4 plugged in, but I'm going away from the AppRadio, I'm going to install a JVC KW-NT800HDT. It uses only the analog adapter for everything except video which I don't use. I'm done with this mess.
  3. I have the AppRadio I and hate it. I'm going to swap out to a different HU. Pioneer does have new units that are a complete system and can do Apps, this could be ideal (140). I say could, because I do not like their interface. I see Sony is coming out with their version. I'm also looking at units that don't necessarily even use apps. The problem with these systems are you need way to much interaction with your actual phone and it can be a huge distraction. People are going to get into accidents. I'm going to find a very good integrated system that works from the radio and does not require an
  4. Mike and or anyone, Mike states to load all the Dependencies (see below). How do you do this. I already have MobileSubstrate in, must have been loaded with another package. But I can't find the others with a search. Thanks Dependencies: MobileSubstrate PreferenceLoader AppList Instructions: Uninstall backgrounder if it is already installed (check Cydia). It is now integrated. Install all of the dependencies.
  5. I have the App1, it takes about 30 seconds to boot up (screen on), very annoying. With this bypass by the time it's ready there is a warning screen, I press okay and it's ready to go.
  6. I installed mine with the longer times suggested in the first post but once my Appradio boots up its ready. The time delay does not slow down anything.
  7. Okay did this tonight and it works flawlessly. It took me and my son a while to figure out the programming. When you get the the features part, referred to above as options, simply pulse once for the blue wire, twice for white and then once again for orange. We thought you had to pulse once to select the wire and then again for the option. Once we got past that it was simple and immediately worked. Very happy with this and with Mikes AppExtensions getting closer to my ideal;)
  8. Yes I did I like bleeding edge, but enough with the distractions while I'm driving.
  9. No I'm going to swap out my unit for one the new Alpine units when they come out. I'm tired of this BS. I don't think it's too much to ask that when you get in your car you can turn our HU on or off, select radio, or iPod, and it works, no messages, from either the HU or the iPhone, no I'm done.
  10. I'm switching alright, to a different HU and brand. I've had it with this fiasco. I'll I want to do is get in my car and be able to use my head unit. There is constantly something going array. I'm finding myself lately not even plugging my phone in, which makes it almost totally useless except the radio and the ironically the Bluetooth works. I'm switching to a unit that doesn't require an iPhone connection.
  11. Mike, I played around with this and it's great. I noticed it doing a reinstall of the AppRadio App alot, kept bringing up welcome to my iPhone. Is there a preferred setup? I'm assuming it's the default but just checking. Hitting the black bar on the right takes it back to the app screen most of the time. When I used approved the apps, the back and forth is smoother, so I concluded the unsupported causes the appradio to reboot when hitting the home screen. Anyway fantastic progress, your work is making this HU more of what it should have been from the factory. Anyway to get some of t
  12. I installed it using ispirit but the second method sounds much easier as I had to go back and forth with the ispirit, but ispirit is a great program.
  13. Okay, I'm missing something. I downloaded the beta, but don't know how to install it. It doesn't show up in Cydia. Please give me instructions, Thanks, Ron Nevermind I went back through this thread and found it under Page 6.
  14. Hey Mike, I couldn't upload any AppExtensions, know what's going on:)
  15. I recently updated to firmware 2.5 and the latest AppRadio 1.7.1 and iOS 5.1.1. I have been using a tethered jailbreak. Today untethered jailbreak came out so I installed it. I went to upload AppRadio Extensions and it wasn't available. So I used my AppRadio in in virgin form. My brake bypass works when I wait till boot up and turn it off take out my key and turn it back on. So I first tried CarMediaPlayer that is now on the AppRadio App screen. It came up fast and worked flawlessly. I then hit my home key and waalaa, it went back to the app screen. I've always had to go back to my ph
