It sounds like your unit is defective. I have the 930 with the bypass and have no issues.

Mine is right on the steering column and people tell me it sounds good.

What's so funny ? I just bought one too and I love it I had the X930 installed at Best Buy. They connected the sub to the rear speakers because they said it would only work with speaker level and not line level. They said the 2012 Juke was different than the 2011 so I guess mine didn't have the built in amp. They also got all the steering wheel controls to work with the Axxess Metra controller. I hope that helps someone with a 2012 Juke.

I have a source button on my steering wheel and it works. I'm using the Axxess controller.

Does the new knob still allow the ring of light to show around it?

I too just decided to use SD as the main music source. My X920 and ipod were stolen and the insurance company sent me a new X930 (disappointed because of lost voice control) but they wouldn't reimburse the ipod. I guess the thousands of dollars I pay for insurance over the years wasn't enough Anyway, I just discovered it loads the files according to date added and I was looking for a fix. That seems pretty ridiculous. I definitely like the ipod interface better but $10 for a 16GB card vs. $150 for a 16GB ipod was an easy choice. And I don't even care for the new ipod. I liked my old
