you can splice the mic wires and re-ues the factory one, ive done it before. as for the BT controls on the wheel, not only do the pac units not have this function built in , the pioneer radios cant receive any commands pertaining to BT.

the pin you need to ground is in that harness to allow the video to play while moving. if you have it hooked properly to the parking brake and it still doesnt show video then you've got other issues...

you definitely dont have to lose the on-star, but the bluetooth (if it works through the factory radio) is going to be lost. the bluetooth in the new unit works fairly well but not as well as the factory.

wrong radio. this one has usb as well as dedicated ipod input. ipod wont function on the usb input.

thats strange because it worked with MY D3 otherwise i wouldnt recommend it.

are you using the usb input or the cd-i200 cable?

no such monster. the scosche part works with the D3 as intended.(not direct from touchscreen anyways) you can charge an iphone/touch and use it for audio.

funny because @ the meetings they said no. then the little japanese man from pioneer said no when he was here.. i'm very interested in seeing this work myself...i might have to plug one up to my display and see. EDIT: CDX-P686 plugged into an F700bt and no bueno.

well in this case its right. D-Din in that truck isnt a direct fit. you will have to modify the sub dash to mount and the outer trim to fit. you can alternatively get the newer sub-dash and outer piece but it still needs some modification to work.

there are digital tuners out now. still seems pointless to me but they are there for the buying.

i meant the resistor. we don't use them as they tend to go bad more often than not, all flippant remarks aside...

code or pic of what? its a 1k ohm resistor BLK/BRN/RED/GOLD. not to mention its not really needed.
