  1. Your best bet is to look in the arliberator forum for people using the same hardware your using. http://appradioforums.com/Forum-Android
  2. Plenty of people are not going to be willing to root there phones to get aplib working. Having some app choice or the stock side of things can't hurt. Anything is better then the current crop of compatible apps.
  3. No ARLiberator was reverse engineered by the dev. I don't imagine Pioneer condoning the app, so we'll have to be wary of firmware updates to the deck,
  4. You'll want to purchase it from the store and then send the rest via donation. That way you get stable releases. Go over to Appradio forum . com and pm stackTrase who is the developer.
  5. It really depends on what phone you have. If you head over to XDA to your phone forum, look for a tool kit. It makes most rooting chores easy.
  6. Agreed. I don't think it places anywhere near the same load on the phone that appradio did.
  7. This app has progressed more then far enough to prove it will do everything we set out. Fantastic work! Paid my full contribution to the bounty.
  8. Go into settings and check the reverse x and y setting. Close the app and make sure its not running in the background. Restart the app and then re-calibrate. Most phones need to have x and Y reversed. Hope that gets you up and running. If your already checked then try unchecking it. Right now no one knows which phones need it and which don't.
  9. The buttons on the deck do the same thing. Home is home, back is back, menu is menu. No trouble getting around without touching or looking at the phone. Right now the hard buttons make the phone think its been pressed multiple times but that's just the beta being ironed out. I didn't include deck button presses in the video as that wasn't what I was working on when we were testing the app last night. That video is just the last of many attempts to get the app ironed out.
  10. Since its running the phone you can hit the soft keys like anything else. Depending on the app your running depends on the soft keys showing up on the screen or not.
  11. Killnanny is the upcoming app in the bounty thread that gives android users full control of their android phones. There's lots of info on the beta app over on http://appradioforums.com/index.php
  12. Or just use Killnanny and bypass Pioneer apps and rules altogether... It may seem like Apple gets all the love, but the winds of change are in the air. Android phones are now vastly outnumbering iphones in the wilds and it's still gaining steam. It's only a matter of time until tablets do the same. Any company that doesn't pull it's head out of the sand and adapt is going to regret it. (Rim comes to mind)
