Hi. While perusing fleabay saw a z110 on their. Seller states that there is an unknown password on it. Is there a way to remove it other than by sending it to Pioneer and paying them? Perhaps by booting via an SD card and updating the firmware? Don't want to even bother if it's going to be too much of a pain but I might if it's not terribly difficult. Thanks!

I have the 2.006 version at the moment and it works fine for me if I leave it in 3D mode.

My understanding is the D series has received it's last update. I'm not certain that includes the D3 but I know it includes the D1, D2 and I think the N1, N2, and N3...

Not to defend pioneer but as technology advances it becomes necessary update the software to take advantage of it. It is no longer compatible with the older units. They will continue to support the older units until it is no longer profitable. If not we'd all still be using 8-tracks....

I'd rather they get the unit and not mangle my center console/dash. Insurance can buy me another unit...

Have you tried resetting it? Maybe disconnect the power for at least 2 1/2 minutes then try it...

Hi... I was given a non working D1 and fixed it. Now I'm preparing to install it in my Lexus. Any gotcha's I need to be aware of? I've installed a nav unit before (JVC KD-NX5000) so I'm aware of the speed sensor/parking brake thing. I didn't hook up the reverse sensor on it though and am not planning on doing so with this unit. I know it's old news here but I like the looks and the price was kinda hard to beat. On the sonic side, I'll be using the internal amp for the mains and using an external amp for the sub. Sonically what is this thing like... it'll be replacing the stock Pioneer unit.

Hi everyone. I know that I can mix the N1 N2 N3 head units and brain boxes. Question I have is what does what? In other words, N1 head unit and N1 brain box - what, if anything, would I gain by pairing up the N2 or N3 head unit to the brainbox? Conversely, what do I lose if I have an N2 or N3 head unit and mate it to an N1 brainbox.... all permutations too... so if I install a N2 brainbox/head unit but then remove the N2 head unit and replace it with a N3 head unit but keep the N2 brainbox what do I gain over the N2 combo and what don't I get versus a full N3 combo? Reason I ask is I'm prepari
