  1. Thanks for the response. I appreciate your help. I tried tapping into the yellow wire coming out of the head unit as well as the red wire. Neither of which when powered on triggered appradio mode with my phone. I am at a complete loss as to why this does not work. Do I have the correct version update? Attached is the system settings. The IV202NAVI is set to the correct switch for the Z140BH (switch 2). All the cables are connected correctly. I grounded the black wire. I have spliced the red wire into 4 different other wires none of which worked. The phone charges when plugged in b
  2. I am still having trouble with this. The problem is I don't know which wire that is and I don't want to splice into the wrong one. Do you know which wire in the harness it is? It is very disappointing that Pioneer doesn't provide more clearer instructions on this install.
  3. Hello, I have a Z140BH unit with all of the 2013 map and firmware updates as well as having the video bypass. I was previously using an iPhone 4 with the adapter cable running appradio mode with no trouble whatsoever. Earlier this year I updated to the iPhone 5s but decided to hold off on getting the IV202NAVI adapter until this week. I started the install and 95% of it is pretty straightforward and simple. I got all of the cables where they need to be and grounded the black wire as described. However, my one area of confusion is with the red power wire which states needs to go "to el
  4. I have a 128gb usb flash thumb drive that works just fine with my z140bh. It's formatted as FAT32 and it came that way when I bought it. The HU will not read more than 2,500 files or 300 directories on the drive though.. that is a limitation of the head unit. startup time is fairly quick.. less than 60 seconds.
  5. This is an old post, but you can download the 'iHeartAuto' app through App Radio mode to control iheartradio through the head unit. Works great.
  6. The same thing happened to me doing the 4.6 update installed using a USB flash drive. It didn't automatically reboot (although stated complete). None of the buttons on the unit worked. I unplugged the USB drive, nothing happened. I shut off my car, nothing happened (the unit stayed on and was basically frozen). I had to unplug my car battery, wait 5 minutes then turned my car back on. The HU started normally again but the version still states its 4.0. Thanks for the tip from Clandest1ne.. I will try it again but next time i'll use an SD card.
  7. I loaded the map update on my usb flash drive but my z140bh does not recognize the files for the map update even though it does work for the pioneer-supplied firmware updates. When I plugged in the usb drive via the cable nothing happened. When I selected the USB input via the HU it just tried to play wav files located in the map update folders. i'll have to dig up an SD card for this update.
  8. I have this same problem. Unsure if I should buy a whole new harness and try again or if the wires can be purchased separately.
  9. I'm in the same situation with my z140. I ripped the mute wire out of the pin by mistake. i was able to get the rest of it out by slicing the plastic with a knife and working it out from there, but it's too screwed up to try to solder back on the wire. Will it mess up the unit if i just plug the rca back in until the new pins arrive in the mail?
