Bullseye, I did confirm that with the Scosche adapter and D3 in my H2, I DO have front/rear fade control. I did not do the initial install myself (only the bluetooth afterwards), so I don't know the specifics of how my installer wired the set-up. Good luck.

I have the D3 in my Hummer H2, but with the Scosche adapter, and I am pretty sure that I have Front/Rear Fade intact. I keep it at about 6+ towards the Rear speakers. I'll confirm today and let you know for certain.

Thanks Shotgun. I was looking for it in the A-pillar, and couldn't find it as a separate set of wires. By that point it was tightly bundled and packaged with other wires. It makes sense to get it at the running light, I actually had that grommet out to see if I could back trace the wires! Any way to tell which of the 2 wires is the "hot" one, without first splicing into it and testing? On another note, I was able to run the BTB200 MIC wire through the A-pillar to the ceiling location of the Onstar MIC. The BTB200 MIC wire exits the ceiling at the edge of the Onstar MIC cutout,

I leave my lights set on "Auto" and am looking to tap a source that comes on with the headlights and is NOT dimmed. I had a dimmed source hooked up, and the D3 illumination was reverse with respect to the dimming function (interior light low & D3 bright vs. interior bright & D3 dark)

Do you know a good place to tap the ILL on a Hummer H2? Another member had suggested the wire for the roof running lights in the A-frame, but I was not able to clearly find one there. I have fully installed and ran the ILL wire (disconnected) to below the steering wheel where I can access it easily. I am hoping for a connection somewhere near the fusebox to the left of the dash with driver door open. Any suggestions?

Yes, as stated, you can leave your NAV disc in permanently and use Navigation and keep your iPod connected and hear music all the time. You get NAV and Music at the same time. Works great.

Thanks Shotgun. I grew up soldering all connections and really have no experience with all of these "new" connectors. I also plan on looking into the A-frame for the ILL hookup, as you suggested. In addition, I am going to see if I can route the BTB200 MIC to the ceiling through the same cutout as the native Onstar MIC, any experience with that area?

I finally got the Bluetooth unit from Crutchfield, going to install it tomorrow. Question: What is the best way to "splice" into the radio power source to connect the BTB200? I was planning on disconnecting the radio harness, and connecting on the radio side (so that I don't have to disconnect the battery lead). What type of connector would you use to "splice" the power source?

Thanks to both of you. Bullseye, I saw your before and after pictures. Sorry that there are such A$$holes in the world. The VSS was Green/White at the 12 pin connector, in the 2007 it was the "H" location, not the "E". (both are green/white). My understanding is that it is the "E" location pre-2007. I did tap into a "dimmer" illumination source (one of the 4 wheel drive differential locking lights), but connected to the dimmer system, the D3 illumination is REVERSE with the dimmer switch, and less than full in daylight. Hi All, I had my D3 "professionally" installed, and I am now going to do my own bypass and install the Bluetooth BTB200 in my 2007 Hummer H2. Question: For the BTB200 Power Source: is it OK to "tap/splice" into the power source for the D3, or do you need a direct run to another power location? Also, my installer hooked the ILL wire to a source connected to the dimmer, now i get "reverse" dimming of the D3 versus the cars illumination at night. Where you run the excess GPS antennae cord can make a difference!! I just had my D3 installed in my '07 Hummer H2 and had very poor satellite reception. We took the dash apart and all connections were fine. The GPS antennae looked to be situated perfectly, just under the plastic dash, front, center at the windshield. The installed had "draped" the excess GPS antennae cord to the "right", over the HVAC duct, and it was free and clear of any obvious problems. We went out for a spin with the dash off, and simply draped the excess cord to the "left" over the left HVAC duct and suddenly wen
