  1. Ah thank you for replying to a thread more than a month old. I know how to search, it's not well documented for this particular topic I've asked. And I'm not new here, I'm quite capable of using new modded images, updating my maps, etc. Just because I dont have a high post count here, doesnt mean I'm some n00b. Whats documented here, is done well already with enough guides. Just not video playpack. Thanks for bumping something you could have plain just left alone to die. FYI.. I've tried various file formats, and it just simply doesnt play at all, or just the audio, or skipp
  2. I had the same issue. I have recently ordered a new touchscreen for around $70 shipped from www.pacparts.com I'm going to see if it fixes the issue. If so, I'll be able to make some money selling the unit
  3. Thanks for the reminder about PacParts! I have an older Avic-D1 that has had an issue with the touchscreen being off by 1/4" and the right edge of about .5" not working at all. For $75 with tax and shipping, if it works I'll have a like-new headunit I can sell for more than double that
  4. Does no one attempt to watch any video on their device?
  5. Fixed. I had to log into MSN Direct, and "reactivate," my device. Which in turn sends out a signal to the device. Interestingly enough, you do not have to do it immediately. I did the activation, and didnt go to my car till the next day, and the traffic services were working. So the activation signal is not something you need to do and run to your car right after...
  6. I did this a few weeks ago, and all went well.. However I noticed that my MSN Direct isnt working anymore. Does this perhaps change the MSN serial number of the unit? Like perhaps it's stored in the firmware, not in hardware? I paid for a lifetime service, which should be good till 2012...
  7. I cant seem to find a list of recommended settings and formats supported by the F90BT for video playback. Anyone got a link or willing to jot down what they use? I have a number of recorded videos on my PC from my HTPC and snapstream's BeyondTV, which I believe are AVI (DiVX) format. They range form 700MB-1.2GB in size, which I'm sure will need to be reduced to fit better on SD cards or DVD's not to mention within the resolution of the screen. Currently, I would use Format Factory as it's pretty simple to take a video and convert to any number of other formats.
  8. Ran this, as I wasnt too happy with some recent issues with my modded firmware and IDT mods added on.. Well it went like a charm, and is so much easier than having to piece all of this together from multiple downloads. Thank you!
  9. Great post. This could be handy for you... viewtopic.php?f=33&t=33472
  10. Funny you mention it... I got the p910xt.zip file off a torrent, from searching google for it. used steps here on this forum to get into test mode, unmount, format the flash disk, and copied over all the new files. So the problem is fixed! I did notice a handful of 0KB files with foreign characters, you know squares and funny lines and the like. They couldnt be deleted manually, only formatting would remove it. But anywho, it also gave me a chance to add some hacks to the above mentioned zip file, and get it all done in one wack This was all done tonight This forum r
  11. Alright, searching for the torrents, and downloading files... Will see if I cant get it within the next couple days. Right now the torrents are going to take a while it seems(26hrs days). Then it's just a matter of going into test mode, and copying over everything in the flash drive right? Or do I need to format the flash drive first?
  12. I have an unmodded F90BT, and it was upgraded to the 3.0x firmware through the Pioneer supplied update SD cards. It has worked fine for a couple months since the update. Until recently out of the blue... Constant reboots, about once every two minutes. Since it's unmodded, I dont have a backup per say, short of the supplied Pioneer supplied SD cards (which I tried to reinstall, and it didn't work) So far I've only tried the one workaround about deleting the gpspar files from the root of the flash disk. That didn't help. What are my choices now to get this working? I've ye
  13. Cool, thanks for the confirmation, fellow Suby owner, and SoCal brethren.
  14. With the pioneer website down so that I cannot do the map upgrade on the #2 SD card, I did at least the first card. The only thing that changed was going from 2.0 firmware, to a 2.1 build. Does the 3.0 firmware upgrade happen from the from #2 map card? I've already tried to re-do the upgrade, it wont do anything, seems like it's a one time thing if you've already went to the latest version on the card? I've also tried restarting the radio, but turning the car off and back on. More curious than anything. No one has seemed to mention this issue, so not sure if I'm doing it right
  15. Sorry to bring this back from the dead. But I'm close to 7,000 miles now, and it's still not finished calibrating... It took me to this point to get all of the right turn and left turn bars filled, and the 3d-hybrid is about one dash away from being filled. I have no clue on how to make the process go faster, but I dread the day I lose power or have to reset the device and have to start over.
